THE BOOK OF DANIEL (CHAPTER ELEVEN---PART TWO)

PART TWO OF DANIEL CHAPTER 11 HAS TO DO WITH THE END GENERATION.

PART ONE HAD TO DO WITH EVENTS THAT HAVE ALREADY PASSED.

Daniel 11:21 And in his estate shall stand up a vile person (SATAN), to whom they shall not give the honor of the kingdom: but he shall come in peaceably, and obtain the kingdom by flatteries.

HERE BEGINS THE PORTION OF THIS PROPHECY WHICH IS STILL FUTURE TO US, "THE LATTER DAYS"OF 10:14.

THE VILE PERSON IS SATAN PLAYING THE ROLE OF CHRIST (ANTICHRIST=INSTEAD OF CHRIST IN THE GREEK).

HE IS COMING PEACEFULLY (NO WAR) AND HE WILL WIN THE HEART OF MANY BY FLATTERIES (TELLING THEM HOW WONDERFUL THEY ARE).

11:22 And with the arms of a flood (FLOOD OF DECEPTION=REV. 12:15) shall they be overflown from before him, and shall be broken; yea, also the prince of the covenant (COMMUNION).

11:23 And after the league made with him he shall work deceitfully: for he shall come up, and shall become strong with a small people (THE KENITES=HIS OFFSPRING).

11:24 He shall enter peaceably even upon the fattest places of the province; and he shall do that which his fathers have not done, nor his fathers' fathers; he shall scatter among them the prey, and spoil, and riches: yea, and he shall forecast his devices against the strongholds, even for a time.

HE WILL DEVICE PLOTS USING SUPERNATURAL MIRACLES TO DECEIVE THE WORLD.

SATAN IS SUPERNATURAL, AND HE WILL USE ANYTHING HE CAN TO GET YOU INTO HIS SIDE.

11:25 And he shall stir up his power and his courage against the king of the south with a great army; and the king of the south shall be stirred up to battle with a very great and mighty army; but he shall not stand: for they (THE KENITES) shall forecast devices against him.

THIS IS JUST BEFORE SATAN IS HERE DEFACTO.

THE KING OF THE SOUTH WON'T MAKE A STAND. THEY WON'T COME INTO ANY CONCLUSION. IT WON'T BE (SATAN'S SYSTEM) COMPLETELY SUCCESFUL UNTIL SATAN COMES HIMSELF TO COMPLETE THAT SYSTEM (ONE WORLD SYSTEM).

11:26 Yea, they that feed of the portion of his meat shall destroy him, and his army shall over flow: and many shall fall down slain.

THE FIGHTNING TAKES PLACE FROM WITHIN AND WITHOUT (IN THE HEBREW).

WE CAN SEE THIS IN THE UNITED NATIONS; WE ARE ALL ONE BUT WE ARE ENEMIES.

11:27 And both these kings' hearts shall be to do mischief, and they shall speak lies at one table; but it shall not prosper: for yet the end shall be at the time appointed (IT WAS NOT MEANT FOR DANIEL'S TIME).

11:28 Then shall he return into his land with great riches; and his heart shall be against the holy covenant (THE PEOPLE THAT HAVE THE SEAL OF GOD IN THEIR FOREHEAD = GOD'S ELECT); and he shall do exploits (ACT EFFECTIVELY, OR ACCOMPLISH THE PURPOSEOF HIS HEART), and return to his own land.

11:29 At the time appointed he shall return, and come toward the south; but it shall not be as the former, or as the latter (IT WILL BE SOMETHING DIFFERENT).

11:30 For the ships of Chittim (THE BRUISERS= GOD'S ELECT) shall come against him: therefore he shall be grieved, and return, and have indignation against the holy covenant (HE WILL BE ANGRY WITH GOD'S ELECT): so shall he do; he shall even return, and have intelligence (FIX HIS ATENTION ON) with them that forsake the holy covenant.

GOD'S ELECT WILL GIVE HIM MUCH TROUBLE.

11:31 And arms shall stand on his part (THE FALSE ONE), and they shall pollute the sanctuary of strength, and shall take away the daily sacrifice (CHRIST WAS OUR SACRIFICE), and they shall place the abomination that maketh desolate (THE DESOLATOR WILL REPLACE CHRIST, THE DAILY SACRIFICE).

HE WILL TAKE OVER THE CHURCH.

MAKE A NOTE OF MARK 13.

11:32 And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt with flatteries (CORRUPT BY NICE RELIGIOUS WORDS): but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.

GOD'S ELECT ARE THE ONLY ONES WHO KNOW GOD (NOT ALL CHRISTIANS DO) AND WILL EFFECTUALLY DO GOD'S WORK.

11:33 And they that understand among the people shall instruct many (GOD WILL SPEAK THROUGH GOD'S ELECT LIKE IT WAS ON PENTECOST DAY. EVERYONE WILL HEAR GOD'S MESSAGE IN THEIR OWN LANGUAGE AND DIALECT; ACTS 2, MARK 13:11): yet they shall fall by the sword (WEAK IN THE HEBREW, NOT DEATH), and by flame, by captivity (DECEPTION), and by spoil, many days.

GOD'S ELECT WILLBE DELIVERED UP TO SATAN'S 'COURT'. HE IS GOING TO TRY TO CONVERT YOU AT THAT TIME. THIS IS THE TIME THAT GOD WILL SPEAK THROUGH YOU. (MARK 13:9).

11:34 Now when they shall fall (WAIVER, LITTLE WEAK), they shall be holpen with a little help (SHALL OBTAIN BUT LITTLE HELP): but many shall cleave to them with flatteries (TRY TO FOLLOW THEM. SOME WILL COME OUT OF DECEPTION AT THAT TIME).

11:35 And some of them of understanding shall fall, to try (REFINE) them, and to purge (PURIFY), and to make them white, even to the time of the end: because it is yet for a time appointed.

11:36 And the king (SATAN) shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every GOD, and shall speak marvelous things against the GOD of gods, and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done.

THIS IS QUOTED IN II THESS. 2:3-4.

HE ALWAYS WANTED TO BE GOD.

HE WILL PLAY THE ROLE OF CHRIST AND WILL BE THE HEAD OF THE CHURCH AND ALSO OF OTHER RELIGIONS, UNTIL THE TRUE CHRIST RETURNS AND PUTS A STOP TO THIS.

11:37 Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers (HE ALWAYS WANTED TO BE GOD), nor the desire of women (NO REGARD FOR THE VIRGIN BRIDE OF CHRIST), nor regard any GOD (ELOAH=WHO IS TO BE WORSHIPPED. ELOAH IS GOD IN CONNECTION WITH HIS WILL RATHER THAN HIS POWER): for he shall magnify himself above all.

11:38 But in his estate shall he honor the God of forces (GOD OF FORTRESSES): and a god whom his fathers knew not shall he honor with gold, and silver, and with precious stones, and pleasant things (THINGS DESIRED IN THE HEBREW).

IN SECRET HE IS SUPERSTITIOUS, THOUGH IN PUBLIC HE EXALTS HIMSELF ABOVE ALL GODS.

11:39 Thus shall he do in the most strongholds with a strange god, whom he shall acknowledge and increase with glory: and he shall cause them to rule over many, and shall divide the land for gain (PRICE).

ALL THOSE WHO ACKNOWLEDGE HIM HE WILL MOVE IN GLORY.

11:40 And at the time of the end shall the king of the south push at him: and the king of the north shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass over.

HIS DECEPTION, THE ONE WORLD SYSTEM WILL TAKE OVER ANY GOVERNMENT, FOR THEY WILL FLOW UNTO HIM. ANY RESISTANCE WILL BE PUSHED ASIDE BY THE PEOPLE THEMSELVES. WHY? BECAUSE THEY BELIEVE HE IS JESUS. THEY THINK THEY ARE DOING RIGHT.

11:41 He shall enter also into the glorious land (MOUNT ZION), and many countries shall be overthrown: but these shall escape out of his hand, even Edom (THE TRUE CHRISTIANS OF RUSSIA), and Moab, and the chief of the children of Ammon (LOT'S OFFSPRING).

THE TRUE CHRISTIANS OF RUSSIA WON'T BE DECEIVED.

11:42 He shall stretch forth his hand also upon the countries: and the land of Egypt shall not escape.

SATAN'S DECEPTION WILL COVER THE WHOLE WORLD.

11:43 But he shall have power over the treasures of gold and of silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt: and the Libyans and the Ethiopians (AFRICA) shall be at his steps.

HE CONQUERS WITH WORDLY ABILITY.

11:44 But tidings out of the east (THE BRUISERS= GOD'S ELECT) and out of the north shall trouble him: therefore he shall go forth with great fury to destroy, and utterly to make away many.

HE WILL TRY TO DESTROY THE ELECT BY DECEIVING THEM. HE WILL EVENTUALLY KILL TWO OF GOD'S ELECT, THE TWO WITNESSES (REV. 11). THREE AND A HALF DAYS AFTER THAT CHRIST RETURNS.

11:45 And he shall plant the tabernacles of his palace between the seas in the glorious mountain (MOUNT ZION); yet he shall come to his end, and none shall help him.

HE WILL BE LOCKED IN THE PIT FOR A THOUSAND YEARS WHEN CHRIST RETURNS (REV. 20). AFTER THE THOUSAND YEAR TEACHING PERIOD, HE WILL BE RELEASED AGAIN FOR A SHORT TIME TO TEST THE PEOPLE ONCE MORE. JUDGMENT FOLLOWS RIGHT AFTERWARDS. ON JUDGMENT DAY HE WILL TURN INTO ASHES FROM WITHIN (EZEKIEL 28:18, REV. 20), AND NONE WILL HELP HIM.

THE BOOK OF DANIEL (CHAPTER ELEVEN---PART ONE)

PAST AND PRESENT PROPHECIES.

Daniel 11:1 (Also I in the first year of Darius the Mede (CYRUS), even I, stood to confirm and to strengthen him.)

THIS VERSE IS PARENTHETICAL, TO TELL US WHAT THE ANGELIC SPEAKER HAD DONE TWO YEARS PREVIOUSLY (426 B.C.).

PART OF CHAPTER 11 IS HISTORY.

11:2 And now will I shew thee the truth. Behold, there shall stand up yet three kings in Persia; and the fourth shall be far richer than they all: and by his strength through his riches he shall stir up all against the realm of Grecia.

CAMBYSES, THE PSEUDO-SMERDIS, AND DARIUS HYSTAPES. WE KNOW FROM THIS VERSE THAT THERE WERE THREE, AFTER CYRUS, AND A FOURTH. WHOEVER HE WAS, HE WAS SUCCEEDED BY THE "MIGHTY KING" OF VERSE 4 (ALEXANDER THE GREAT).

THIS FOURTH KING WILL STIR UP ALL AGAINST THE REALM OF GRECIA BY STRENGTHENING HIMSELF IN HIS RICHES.

11:3 And a mighty king shall stand up, that shall rule with great dominion, and do according to his will.

THE MIGHTY KING OF THE FUTURE IS "LITTLE HORN"=SATAN.

11:4 And when he shall stand up, his kingdom shall be broken, and shall be divided toward the four winds of heaven (THE FOUR WINDS HOLD THE VERY END OF THIS EARTH AGE; REV. 7); and not to his posterity, nor according to his dominion which he ruled: for his kingdom shall be plucked up, even for others beside those (BESIDE THOSE FOUR).

FOUR CONTEMPORARY KINGS.

THERE IS A BREAK BETWEEN THE PAST AND THE FUTURE, WHICH IS FROM 10:14, OF WHICH THIS CHAPTER IS THE CONTINUATION.

11:5 And the king of the south (EGYPT) shall be strong, and one of his princes; and he shall be strong above him, and have dominion; his dominion shall be a great dominion.

KING OF THE SOUTH=EGYPT WITH REFERENCE TO JUDEA.

IN 1948, ISRAEL BECAME A NATION FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE CHRIST WALKED THE EARTH. IT WAS BROUGHT TO CONCLUSION IN 70 A.D., BY A ROMAN GENERAL NAMED TITUS.

11:6 And in the end of years they shall join themselves together; for the king's daughter of the south shall come to the king of the north (BABYLON) to make an agreement: but she shall not retain the power of the arm; neither shall he stand (THE KING OF THE NORTH), nor his arm: but she shall be given up, and they that brought her, and he that begat her, and he that strengthened her in these times.

THIS IS ALL HISTORY, FUTURE TO DANIEL.

KING OF THE NORTH= BABYLON=PERSIAN GULF.

THEY MADE AN AGREEMENT TO COME TO TERMS UPON WHAT IS EQUITABLE BETWEEN THE PARTIES. HERE IT CONCLUDED HER MARRIAGE WITH ANTIOCHUS, WHO DIVORCED HIS WIFE (LAODICE) AND DISINHERITED HER SON (SELEUCUS CALLINICUS).

11:7 But out of a branch of her roots (SAME RELIGIOUS BELIEFS) shall one stand up in his estate, which shall come with an army, and shall enter into the fortress of the king of the north (IRAN), and shall deal against them, and shall prevail:

IN ANCIENT HISTORY, BERENICE'S BROTHER PTOLEMY III (EUERGETES),"ROOTS" REFERRING TO THEIR FATHER PTOLEMYY II (PHILADELPHUS).

IN HIS ESTATE= IN THE STEAD OF PHILADELPHUS, WHO ADVENGED THE MURDER OF BERENICE AND HER SON BY LAODICE. EURGETES HAD BEEN RESTORED.

IN RECENT HISTORY, IT WAS CHOMEINI WHO WENT AGAINST THE SHAW.

11:8 And shall also carry captives into Egypt their gods, with their princes, and with their precious vessels of silver and of gold; and he shall continue more years(FOUR YEARS, REIGNING 46 YEARS IN ALL) than the king of the north (THE SHAW).

THE SHAW OF IRAN WENT TO EGYPT WITH MUCH TREASURES AFTER HE WAS EXPELLED. HE DIED SOON AFTER THIS WITH CANCER. THAT'S WHY THE KING OF THE SOUTH CONTINUED MORE YEARS.

NOTE: EGYPT HAD MORE TROOPS ALIGN WITH IRAQ THAN ANY OTHER NATION, FIGHTNING AGAINST CHOMEINI.

IN ANCIENT HISTORY, THE PRECIOUS VESSELS, THE VESSELS OF DESIRE, SAID TO HAVE BEEN VALUED AT 40,000 TALENTS OF SILVER; AND 2,400 IMAGES, INCLUDING EGYPTIAN IDOLS, WHICH CAMBYSES HAD TAKEN FROM EGYPT. HENCE HE WAS NAMED BY THE GRATEFUL EGYPTIAN "EUERGETES" (BENEFACTOR).

11:9 So the king of the south shall come into his kingdom, and shall return into his own land.

11:10 But his sons shall be stirred up, and shall assemble a multitude of great forces: and one shall certainly come, and overflow, and pass through: then shall he return, and be stirred up, even to his fortress.

IN ANCIENT HISTORY, SELEUCUS II (CALLINICUS) AND HIS BROTHER ANTIOCHUS III. ANTIOCHUS III, THE SECOND KING OF THE NORTH, HIS BROTHER HAVING DIED BY A FALL FROM HIS HORSE.

ONE SHALL COME AGAINST HIM AND DEFEAT ANTIOCHUS III.

IN RECENT HISTORY, SADAT CALLED HIS MILITARY HIS SONS. HE DIED AT THE HANDS OF HIS SO-CALLED SONS.

11:11 And the king of the south shall be moved with choler, and shall come forth and fight with him, even with the king of the north: and he shall set forth a great multitude; but the multitude shall be given into his hand.

THEY DID NOT SUCCEED.

11:12 And when he hath taken away the multitude, his heart shall be lifted up; and he shall cast down many ten thousands: but he shall not be strengthened by it.

IN ANCIENT HISTORY, THIS OCCURRED AT RAPHIA, SOUTHWEST OF GAZA.

IN RECENT HISTORY, THIS OCCURRED DURING THE IRAN-IRAQ 8 YEAR WAR.

11:13 For the king of the north shall return, and shall set forth a multitude greater than the former, and shall certainly come after certain years with a great army and with much riches.

IN ANCIENT HISTORY, THIS WAS 14 YEARS AFTER HIS DEFEAT AT RAPHIA.

IN RECENT HISTORY, CHOMEINI WENT IN THE SOUTH PART OF IRAQ AND PUT EVERYTHING THAT HE HAD INTO THE FORTFRONT, IN THE BORDER OF KUWAIT.

THEY WERE ONLY TYPES SO WE KNOW THE CHRONOLOGICAL AND GEOGRAPHICAL LOCATION. WHY? BECAUSE THIS WILL BE THE AREA THAT WE NEED TO WATCH FOR SIGNS OF THE END.

11:14 And in those times there shall many stand up against the king of the south: also the robbers of thy People shalt exalt themselves to establish the vision (TO HELP TO FULFIL PROPHECY, BY TAKING THE SIDE OF SYRIA, SO AS TO MAKE JUDEA INDEPENDENT); but they shall fall (THE KENITES).

IN ANCIENT HISTORY, THE KING OF THE SOUTH IS PTOLEMY V (EPIPHANES), A MERE CHILD.

THE ROBBERS= THE APOSTATE JEWS=KENITES (SATAN'S OFFSPRING).

IN RECENT HISTORY, SADAT, KING OF THE SOUTH.

11:15 So the king of the north shall come, and cast up a mount, and take the most fenced cities: and the arms of the south shall not withstand, neither his chosen people, neither shall there be any strength to withstand.

IN ANCIENT HISTORY, IT'S ANTIOCHUS III (THE GREAT); AND VERSES 16-19 DESCRIBES HIS DOINGS, WHICH WERE A TYPICAL FORESHADOWING OF HIS ANITYPE, "THE LITTLE HORN", THE YET FUTURE ANTICHRIST, DESCRIBED IN 11:21-12:1; WHICH SHOW HOW THE LATTER PORTION CAN BE FULFILLED BY SATAN AS THE ANTICHRIST.

11:16 But he that cometh against him shall do according to his own will, and none shall stand before him: and he shall stand in the glorious land, which by his hand shall be consumed.

11:18 After this shall he turn his face unto the isles, and shall take many: but a prince for his own behalf (FOR HIS OWN INTEREST) shall cause the reproach offered by him (ANTIOCHUS III) to cease; without his own reproach he shall cause it to turn upon him.

IN ANCIENT HISTORY, WE ARE TALKING ABOUT THE ROMAN GENERAL SCIPIO.

IN RECENT HISTORY, CHOMEINI WAS A VERY SICK MAN. HIS HEALTH WAS FAILING.

11:19 Then he shall turn his face toward the fort of his own land: but he shall stumble and fall, and not be found.

IN ANCIENT HISTORY, ANTIOCHUS III, AFTER HIS DEFEAT BY SCIPIO AT MANGNESIA (NEAR SMYRNA, TURKEY), WITHDREW TO SYRIA.

IN RECENT HISTORY, CHOMEINI DIED.

11:20 Then shall stand up in his estate a raiser of taxes (SADAM OF IRAQ) in the glory of the kingdom: but within few days he shall be destroyed, neither in anger, nor in battle.

IN ANCIENT HISTORY, IT WAS SELEUCUS CAUSING THE EXACTOR (HELIODORUS) TO PASS THROUGH JUDEA, THE GLORIOUS LAND. HE SENT HELIODORUS TO JERUSALEM TO PLUNDER THE TEMPLE.

IN RECENT HISTORY, IT WAS SADAM OF IRAQ.

HERE ENDS THE HISTORICAL PART PORTION, WHICH HAVE BEEN FULFILLED FOR US BUT WAS NOT FOR DANIEL. THE FOLLOWING VERSES IS STILL FUTURE.

GOD USES HISTORY TO LET US KNOW WHAT TOMORROW BRINGS.

THE BOOK OF DANIEL (CHAPTER TEN)

IN THIS CHAPTER, DANIEL CONTINUES WITH THE VISION HE HAD.

HE UNDERSTOOD THE FIRST PART BUT HE HAD HARD TIME UNDERSTANDING THE SECOND PART.

Daniel 10:1 In the third year of Cyrus king of Persia a thing was revealed unto Daniel, whose name was called Belteshazzar; and the thing was true, but the time appointed was long (A LONG WARFARE): and he understood the thing, and had understanding of the vision.

THIS IS TWO YEARS LATER THAN CHAPTER NINE. THIS IS DANIEL'S LATEST DATE; WHICH CONTINUES TO THE END OF THIS BOOK, SEVENTY-THREE YEARS SINCE HIS DEPORTATION: HE BEING NOW EIGHTY-NINE YEARS OLD.

THIS CYRUS WILL GIVE THE ORDER TO REBUILT THE WALLS OF JERUSALEM.

10:2 In those days I Daniel was mourning three full weeks.

10:3 I ate no pleasant bread, neither came flesh nor wine in my mouth, neither did I anoint myself at all, till three whole weeks were fulfilled.

10:4 And in the four and twentieth day of the first month (PASSOVER TIME), as I was by the side of the great river, which is Hiddekel (THE TIGRIS RIVER);

THE 8 YEAR IRAN-IRAQ WAR WAS IN THAT AREA OF TIGRIS AND ALSO THE DESSERT STORM WAR.

10:5 Then I lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and behold a certain man clothed in linen, whose loins were girded with fine gold of Uphaz:

10:6 His body also was like the beryl, and his face as the appearance of lightning, and his eyes as lamps of fire, and his arms and his feet like in color to polished brass, and the voice of his words like the voice of a strong multitude (A STRONG VOICE).

THIS IS AN ANGEL AND GOD WILL SPEAK THROUGH THIS ANGEL.

10:7 And I Daniel alone saw the vision: for the men that were with me saw not the vision; but a great quaking fell upon them, so that they fled to hide themselves.

THIS VISION WAS ONLY MEANT FOR DANIEL TO SEE.

10:8 Therefore I was left alone, and saw this great vision, and there remained no strength in me: for my comeliness was turned in me into corruption, and I retained no strength.

THE HEBREW TEXTS SAY, 'MY HEALTHY APPEARANCE WENT AWAY, AND I LOOKED MORE LIKE A FIGURE OF DEATH THAN LIFE.'

10:9 Yet heard I the voice of his words: and when I heard the voice of his words, then was I in a deep sleep on my face, and my face toward the ground.

DANIEL PASSED OUT. HE COULDN'T BARE THE FACE OF GOD.

10:10 And, behold, an hand touched me, which set me upon my knees and upon the palms of my hands.

THE ANGEL HELPED HIM TO STAND UP AND A LITTLE STRENGTH CAME BACK TO HIM.

10:11 And he said unto me, 'O Daniel, a man greatly beloved, understand the words that I speak unto thee, and stand upright (STAND UP WHERE YOU ARE); for unto thee am I now sent.' And when he had spoken this word unto me, I stood trembling.

10:12 Then said he unto me, 'Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten (HUMBLE) thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words.

10:13 But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days (WAS STANDING CONFRONTING ME): but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained (I LEFT HIM THERE) there with the kings of Persia.

THE RULERS MAYBE GOOD, ANGELIC (GOOD OR EVIL).

THIS IS AN END TIME PROPHECY. HE IS PREPARING US MENTALLY FOR THE END TIME.

PRINCE OF PERSIA=CYRUS.

PRINCE OF THIS WORLD=SATAN.

MICHAEL (WHO IS LIKE GOD IN THE HEBREW) IS THE RESTRAINER. THE SECOND ANGEL NAMED IN THIS BOOK. THE SPECIAL ANGELIC RULER FOR ISRAEL.

10:14 Now I am come to make thee understand what shall befall thy People in the latter days: for yet the vision is for many days."

THIS IS FUTURE.

10:15 And when he had spoken such words unto me, I set my face toward the ground, and I became dumb.

HE COULD NOT SPEAK.

MAKE A NOTE OF PSALMS 139:2, 9.

10:16 And, behold, one like the similitude of the sons of men touched my lips: then I opened my mouth, and spake, and said unto him that stood before me, 'O my lord, by the vision my sorrows are turned upon me, and I have retained no strength.

HE IS BEGINNING TO UNDERSTAND THIS VISION A LITTLE BIT.

HE DIDN'T HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE FIRST ONE.

10:17 For how can the servant of this my lord talk with this my lord? for as for me, straightway there remained no strength in me, neither is there breath left in me.'

HOW CAN I SPEAK TO YOU, A SUPERNATURAL BEING ?

10:18 Then there came again and touched me one like the appearance of a man, and he strengthened me (STRENGTH FOR ENDURANCE IN THE HEBREW),

10:19 And said, 'Oman greatly beloved, fear not: peace be unto thee, be strong, yea, be strong.' And when he had spoken unto me, I was strengthened, and said, 'Let my lord speak; for thou hast strengthened me.'

10:20 Then said he, 'Knowest thou wherefore I come unto thee (HE DIDN'T)? and now will I return to fight with the prince of Persia (SATAN IS THE PRINCE OF PERSIA IN THE FUTURE. MICHAEL IS THE ONE WHO KICKS HIM AND HIS ANGELS OUT OF HEAVEN IN THE NEAR FUTURE; REV. 12:7-9): and when I am gone forth, lo, the prince of Grecia (ALEXANDER) shall come.

10:21 But I will shew thee that which is noted in the scripture of truth: and there is none that holdeth with me in these things, but Michael your prince.

WARNING: BEWARE OF THE ONES WHO SAY GOD SPEAKS TO ME. IF GOD SPEAKS TO SOMEONE HE OR SHE WOULDN'T BE STANDING. DANIEL PASSED OUT MORE THAN ONCE, HIS STRENGTH WAS GONE, BECAUSE HE COULDN'T HANDLE THE SUPERNATURAL.

THE BOOK OF DANIEL (CHAPTER NINE---PART TWO).

DANIEL IN THE HEBREW TONGUE MEANS "GOD IS MY JUDGE", WHICH ACCORDS WITH THE CHARACTER AND CONTENTS OF THE BOOK. HE WAS OF THE SEED-ROYAL OF JUDAH, AND HE IS MENTIONED THREE TIMES BY EZEKIEL, AND ONCE BY OUR LORD.

MOST PROPHETS PROPHESIED WHEN THEY WERE OUT OF THE BABYLONIAN CAPTIVITY, BUT DANIEL'S ENTIRE PROPHECY WAS GIVEN WHILE IN CAPTIVITY.

THE KING OF BABYLON WHICH IS A TYPE THAT SETS FORTH OF WHAT SHALL HAPPEN UNDER THE REIGN OF THE NEW KING OF BABYLON (SATAN) IN THE END GENERATION.

THE FIRST PART OF THE BOOK IS HISTORIC, WHILE THE LATTER HALF IS PROPHETIC.

THE FIRST PART OF THE BOOK WAS WRITTEN IN ARAMAIC (THE LANGUAGE OF THE CAPTIVITY), WHILE THE LATTER IS WRITTEN IN HEBREW.

CONTINUING HERE WITH DANIEL'S PRAYER TO THE LORD. IN THE LATTER VERSES OF THIS CHAPTER THE SUBJECT CHANGES AND IT'S ALL PROPHECY OF THE END TIMES.

Daniel 9:15 And now, O LORD our God, That hast brought Thy People forth out of the land of Egypt with a mighty hand, and hast gotten Thee renown (FAMOUS NATURALLY), as at this day; we have sinned, we have done wickedly.

PEOPLE STILL DO TODAY, WORSE THAN THE TIMES IN THE PAST.

9:16 O LORD, according to all Thy righteousness, I beseech Thee, let Thine anger and Thy fury be turned away from Thy city Jerusalem, Thy holy mountain: because of our sins, and for the iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and Thy People are become a reproach to all that are about us (THOSE THEY TRY TO DO WELL).

THE ANTICHRIST (INSTEAD OF CHRIST IN THE GREEK=SATAN) IS COMING TO SET HIS KINGDOM IN THE TEMPLE MOUNT IN JERUSALEM.

GOD WILL PROTECT HIS OWN. HE WILL DESTROY THAT AREA UPON HIS RETURN BUT WE WILL BE OKAY. HIS ANGER IS TOWARD HIS ENEMIES, NOT US.

9:17 Now therefore, O our God, hear the prayer of Thy servant, and his supplications, and cause Thy face to shine upon Thy sanctuary that is desolate, for the LORD's sake.

DO IT AGAIN FOR YOUR SERVANT'S SAKE.

9:18 O my God, incline Thine ear, and hear; open Thine eyes, and behold our desolations, and the city which is called by Thy name: for we do not present our supplications before Thee for our righteousness, but for Thy great mercies.

IN OTHER WORDS, WE DON'T DESERVE OF YOUR GREAT MERCIES, BUT BECAUSE OF THAT MERCY LET FORGIVENESS COME TO PASS.

9:19 O LORD, hear (LISTEN); O LORD, forgive; O LORD, hearken and do (LISTEN TO US NOW); defer not, for Thine own sake, O my God: for Thy city and Thy People are called by Thy name.'

9:20 And whiles I was speaking, and praying, and confessing my sin and the sin of My People Israel, and presenting my supplication before the LORD my God for the holy mountain of my God;

YOU ALWAYS REPENT WHEN YOU FALL SHORT AND PRESENT YOUR CASE TO THE LORD.

9:21 Yea, whiles I was speaking in prayer, even the man Gabriel, whom I have seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, touched me about the time of the evening oblation (GIFT OR DONATION OFFERING).

THIS PROPHECY IS NOT GIVEN BY A "PROPHET", BUT BY AN ANGEL TO A PROPHET. IT IS THEREFORE A MOST TRANSCENDENT PROPHECY.

9:22 And he informed me, and talked with me, and said, 'O Daniel, I am now come forth to give thee skill and understanding.

TO TEACH THE UNDERSTANDING, OR TO MAKE YOU WISE TO UNDERSTAND.

IT IS NOT A VISION THAT REQUIRES INTERPRETATION, BUT A DIRECT PROPHECY GIVEN IN SIMPLE WORDS BY THE ANGEL CABRIEL, SENT BY GOD FOR THE EXPRESS PURPOSE OF MAKING EVERYTHING CLEAR, AND SOLVING THE MOST WEIGHTY PROBLEMS THAT PERPLEX THE HUMAN MIND. THERE IS NO "DIFFICULTY", AS SUPPOSED. ALL THAT IS REQUIRED OF US IS TO UNDERSTAND, AND CONSIDER, AND BELIEVE WHAT IS THUS WRITTEN FOR OUR LEARNING.

9:23 At the beginning of thy supplications the commandment came forth, and I am come to shew thee; for thou art greatly beloved: therefore understand the matter, and consider the vision (THINK BACK ON THAT VISION).

9:24 Seventy weeks are determined upon Thy People and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring an everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy (A HOLY OF HOLLIES. NEVER USED OF A PERSON. THIS ANSWERS TO THE CLEANSING OF THE SANCTUARY (8:14) WHICH IMMEDIATELY PRECEDES "THE END").

THIS IS THE FIRST DAY OF THE MILLENNIUM (CHRIST'S THOUSAND YEAR REIGN), AND PERHAPS EVEN PAST THAT.

SEVENTY WEEKS= 7X70=490 YEARS DETERMINED. NOT ON ANY "YEAR-DAY" THEORY. IF "DAYS" HAD BEEN INTENDED, IT WOULD BE SO EXPRESSED, AS IN 10:3. MOREOVER, "YEARS" HAD BEEN THE SUBJECT OF DANIEL'S PRAYER (VERSE 2). THE LAST "SEVEN" IS "ONE", AND IT IS DIVIDED IN HALF IN VERSE 27, AND THE HALF IS THREE AND A HALF YEARS (7:25, 8:11-14, 11:33). IN REV. 11:2 THIS HALF IS EXPRESSED BY "FORTY-TWO MONTHS"; AND IN THE NEXT VERSE AS "1260 DAYS". THE WHOLE PERIOD IS THEREFORE 490 YEARS.

DETERMINED= CUT OFF. DIVIDED OFF FROM ALL OTHER YEARS.

9:25 Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks (62 WEEKS): the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.

IT WOUD BE EZRA AND NEHEMIAH DURING THE REIGN OF CYRUS. THIS WOULD BEGIN ON CHAPTER TEN.

NOT IN REGARDS OF THE TEMPLE (AS IN EZRA), BUT THE CITY (AS IN NEHEMIAH), WHICH WAS THE SUBJECT OF DANIEL'S PRAYER, AND THEREFORE THE ANSWER TO IT.

SEVEN WEEKS IS 49 YEARS. THE YEAR THE ORDER WAS GIVEN WAS 454 B.C. WHEN YOU TAKE 49 YEARS AWAY FROM THAT YOU HAVE THE YEAR 405 B.C.

THREESCORE AND TWO WEEKS= 434 YEARS (405 B.C.=29 A.D.). CHRIST WAS BORN IN BETHLEHEM 434 YEARS LATER. NOW WE TAKE AWAY 434 YEARS. IT BRINGS US TO 29 A.D. CHRIST WAS CRUCIFIED AROUND 29 A.D.

9:26 And after threescore and two weeks (62 WEEKS) shall Messiah be cut off (CRUCIFIED), but not for Himself: and the people (THE KENITES=SATAN'S OFFSPRING) of the prince (SATAN, LITTLE HORN) that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood (A FLOOD OF LIES AND DECEPTION= REV. 12:7), and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.

THERE ARE TWO PARTS TO THIS.

1ST PART=CHRIST'S CRUCIFIXION.

2ND PART=THE END.

WE HAVE COVERED 69 WEEKS, BUT WE HAVE NOT COVERED THE 70TH WEEK.

IT WASN'T MENTIONED FOR A VERY SPECIAL REASON. THERE IS A GAP THERE. IT'S THE SAME WHEN CHRIST APPEARED ON THE FIRST ADVENT AND READ FROM THE BOOK OF ISAIAH BUT HE DIDN'T FINISH THE VERSE. HE CLOSED THE BOOK.

WHY? BECAUSE IT WAS NOT MEANT FOR THEIR TIME. IT IS MEANT FOR OURS. THEREFORE, WE CAN UNDERSTAND THE VISION BUT DANIEL COULD NOT.

9:27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week (THIS IS THE 70TH WEEK): and in the midst of the week (3 1/2 YEARS) he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation (CHRIST IS OUR SACRIFICE=HOLY COMMUNION, PASSOVER) to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate (DESOLATOR IN THE HEBREW).'

THE HEBREW STATES,

AND ON WINGS AS A DESOLATOR (THIS IS AN ENTITY=SATAN), ABOMINATIONS EVEN TO THE CONSUMMATION, AND THAT DETERMINED SHALL BE POURED UPON THE DESOLATOR.

THIS IS CERTAINLY FUTURE. SEE MATTHEW 24:15. OUR LORD TELLS US WHERE IT WILL STAND "IN THE HOLY PLACE", IN THE TEMPLE IN JERUSALEM. ANTIOCHUS, THE TYPE OF THE "LITTLE HORN", DEFILED THE SANCTUARY, BUT HE DID NOT DESTROY IT. HE CANNOT THEREFORE BE THE FULFILLER OF THIS PROPHECY, THOUGH HE FORSHADOWED HIM.

THE LITTLE HORN IS SATAN HIMSELF PLAYING THE ROLE OF "ANTICHRIST" (INSTEAD OF CHRIST IN THE GREEK), DECEIVING THE WHOLE WORLD AND THE CHURCH (EXCEPT THE ELECT).

NOTE: CHRIST CHANGED THE TIME (NOT THE PLACE) FROM 3 1/2 YEARS TO 5 MONTHS FOR THE ELECT'S SAKE (MARK 13:20, REV. 9:10-11).

WHY? BECAUSE SATAN IS SUPERNATURAL AND VERY GOOD AT WHAT HE DOES. HE COULD HAVE DECEIVED EVEN THE ELECT IF HE WAS HERE 3 1/2 YEARS.

THE BOOK OF DANIEL (CHAPTER NINE---PART ONE).

THE DESOLATIONS OF JERUSALEM

DANIEL'S HUMILIATION

Daniel is 87 years old, in the first year of king Darius in 426 B.C. He continues to prophecy about the events that will happen before the end of this present dispensation.

Daniel 9:1 In the first year of Darius (DARIUS IS A TITLE AND IT MEANS THE MAINTAINER OR RESTRAINER) the son of Ahasuerus (AHASUERUS, AN APPELATIVE=THE VENERABLE KING ASTYAGES), of the seed of the Medes, which was made king (CYRUS) over the realm of the Chaldeans;

9:2 In the first year of his reign I Daniel understood by books the number of the years, whereof the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah the prophet, that He would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem (FROM 479-409 B.C.).

DANIEL NOW UNDERSTOOD THE WRITINGS OF JEREMIAH OF THE 70 YEAR BABYLONIAN CAPTIVITY.

THE "DESOLATIONS" HAD THEREFORE LASTED 42 YEARS (6X7), AND HAD YET 28(4X7 YEARS) TO RUN BEFORE THEY WERE "ACCOMPLISHED".

THIS IS ONLY AN EXAMPLE TO SHOW US THE EVENTS THAT WILL HAPPEN IN OUR GENERATION BY THE NEW KING OF BABYLON (SATAN).

MAKE A NOTE OF MARK 13.

9:3 And I set my face unto the LORD God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes:

SO HE CAN UNDERSTAND IT BETTER.

9:4 And I prayed unto the LORD my God, and made my confession, and said, 'O LORD, the great and dreadful GOD, keeping the covenant and mercy to them that love Him, and to them that keep His commandments;

9:5 We have sinned, and have committed iniquity, and have done wickedly, and have rebelled, even by departing from Thy precepts and from Thy judgments.

VERY FEW TODAY TEACH PRECEPT BY PRECEPT THE WORD OF GOD.

9:6 Neither have we hearkened unto Thy servants the prophets, which spake in Thy name to our kings, our princes, and our fathers, and to all the People of the land.

IN OTHER WORDS, YOU LEFT NO ONE OUT.

9:7 O LORD, righteousness belongeth unto Thee, but unto us confusion of faces (THE TRIBES DON'T KNOW WHO THEY ARE), as at this day; to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem (MOST OF THE INHABITANTS WERE KENITES=SATAN'S OFFSPRING), and unto all Israel, that are near, and that are far off, through all the countries (THEY ARE SCATTERED ALL OVER THE WORLD) whither Thou hast driven them, because of their trespass that they have transgressed against Thee (THEY DESERVE NOT TO KNOW WHO THEY ARE).

9:8 O LORD, to us belongeth confusion of face, (WE DESERVE TO BE CONFUSED), to our kings, to our princes, and to our fathers, because we have sinned against Thee.

9:9 To the LORD our God belong mercies and forgiveness, though we have rebelled against Him;

9:10 Neither have we obeyed the voice of the LORD our God, to walk in His laws, which He set before us by his servants the prophets.

LOOK AROUND YOU TODAY. HOW MANY PEOPLE YOU SEE OBEYING GOD ? NOT MANY.

9:11 Yea, all Israel have transgressed Thy law (THEY WILL DO ANYTHING NOT TO DO IT), even by departing, that they might not obey thy voice; therefore the curse is poured upon us, and the oath that is written in the law of Moses the servant of God, because we have sinned against Him.

9:12 And He hath confirmed His words, which He spake against us, and against our judges that judged us, by bringing upon us a great evil: for under the whole heaven hath not been done as hath been done upon Jerusalem.

THE GREAT NEW EVIL THAT IS COMING TO JERUSALEM TO PLAY THE ROLE OF CHRIST IS SATAN. HE WILL DECEIVE THE WORLD AND THE CHURCH (EXCEPT THE ELECT). THEY FORSOOK THE LORD THEN AND THEY FOSAKE THE LORD NOW.

9:13 As it is written in the law of Moses, all this evil is come upon us: yet made we not our prayer before the LORD our God, that we might turn from our iniquities, and understand Thy truth.

THERE IS NOTHING NEW UNDER THE SUN. PEOPLE CONTINUE TO TRANSGRESS AGAINST GOD, AND THE TIME OF CHOSING WHO YOU ARE GOING TO FOLLOW, GOD OR SATAN IS VERY LIMITED. THE BAD ONE IS COMING AND MOST WILL JUMP INTO HIS BED SPIRITUALLY.

9:14 Therefore hath the LORD watched upon the evil, and brought it upon us: for the LORD our God is righteous in all His works which He doeth: for we obeyed not His voice.

HE WILL BRING SATAN BECAUSE WE DIDN'T OBEYED HIS VOICE.

THE BOOK OF DANIEL (CHAPTER EIGHT---PART TWO)

CONTINUING WITH THE FORMATION OF THE ONE WORLD SYSTEM, SATAN BEING IN CHARGE OF THE WHOLE WORLD, AND THE END OF THIS EARTH AGE (FUTURE).

Daniel 8:11 Yea, he magnified himself even to the Prince (CHRIST) of the host, and by him the daily sacrifice (HOLY COMMUNION) was taken away, and the place of His sanctuary (JERUSALEM= EZEKIEL 16) was cast down.

LITTLE HORN (SATAN) MAGNIFIED HIMSELF BY PLAYING THE ROLE OF CHRIST, TAKING HOLY COMMUNION AWAY AND REPLACING IT WITH HIM. IT'S THE GREAT APOSTASI OF THE CHURCH (II THESS. 2:3), MEANING, THE CHURCH CHANGING FROM WORSHIPPING THE TRUE CHRIST, TO WORSHIPPING THE FALSE ONE THINKING HE IS CHRIST. THEY TAKE HOLY COMMUNION TO HONOR HIM INSTEAD OF THE TRUE CHRIST.

THIS BELONG TO THE TIME OF THE END, AND WAS NOT FULFILLED OF ANTIOCHUS AS SOME BELIEVE. HIS CAREER WAS A FORESHADOWING OF IT, TO SHOW THAT THE FULFILMENT WILL YET BE EXHAUSTED BY HIM WHO IS "THE LITTLE HORN" (SATAN).

8:12 And an host (LIKE AN ARMY) was given him against the daily sacrifice by reason of transgression, and it cast down the truth to the ground; and it practiced, and prospered.

AN ARMY OF SINNERS THAT CAN BE EASILY DECEIVED WENT AGAINST THE DAILY SACRIFICE. THE TRUTH OF GOD WAS GONE.

IN OTHER WORDS, DECEPTION HAS TAKEN OVER AND THE CHURCH HAS ACCEPTED IT.

8:13 Then I heard one saint speaking, and another saint said unto that certain saint which spake, 'How long shall be the vision concerning the daily sacrifice ( HOLY COMMUNION, CHRIST'S CRUCIFIXION), and the transgression of desolation (THE SETTING UP OF THE DESOLATING OR ASTOUNDING REBELLION), to give both the sanctuary and the host (THE TECHNICAL TERM FOR THE MINISTERS OF THE SANCTUARY) to be trodden under foot?

8:14 And he said unto me, 'Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed.'

HE WON'T CLEANSE IT AGAIN UNTIL HIS RETURN.

MAKE A NOTE OF JOSHUA 23:13.

8:15 And it came to pass, when I, even I Daniel, had seen the vision, and sought for the meaning, then, behold, there stood before me as the appearance of a man.

HERE IT IS GABRIEL (GOD'S MAN IN THE HEBREW). GABRIEL IS THE ANGEL WHO SOUNDS MANY ALARMS.

8:16 And I heard a man's voice between the banks of Ulai (PURE WATER), which called, and said, 'Gabriel, make this man to understand the vision.'

THE FIRST OF TWO ANGELS WHO ARE NAMED IN SCRIPTURE. THE SECOND ONE IS MICHAEL.

8:17 So he came near where I stood: and when he came, I was afraid, and fell upon my face (HE PASSED OUT): but he said unto me, 'Understand, O son of man: for at the time of the end shall be the vision (END OF THIS EARTH AGE).'

GABRIEL IS SAYING HERE THAT THIS WILL HAPPEN AT THE END OF THIS AGE, NOT AT THE TIME OF ANTIOCHUS.

8:18 Now as he was speaking with me, I was in a deep sleep on my face toward the ground (HE PASSED OUT. HE COULD HANDLE SEEING GABRIEL. WHY ? BECAUSE HE IS SUPERNATURAL): but he touched me, and set me upright.

8:19 And he said, 'Behold, I will make thee know what shall be in the last end of the indignation (WRATH OF GOD): for at the time appointed the end shall be.

ANOTHER INDICATION OF THE TIME OF THE FULFILMENT OF THE VISION AT THE TIME APPOINTED.

8:20 The ram which thou sawest having two horns are the kings of Media (MIDDLE LAND) and Persia (PURE).

HERE IN VERSE 20 WE HAVE THE BEGINNING OF THE INTERPRETATION; WHICH COMMENCES WITH PAST HISTORY WITH WHICH THE PROPHECY (WHICH BELONGS TO THE FUTURE) IS LINKED ON. THIS IS TO CONNECT ANTICIPATORY AND PARTIAL, OR FORESHADOWING, FULFILMENT, WHICH SHOWS HOW THE "LITTLE HORN" WILL ACT, IN A SIMILAR WAY AS AN INDIVIDUAL, AND NOT AS A SERIES OF KINGS OR POPES.

8:21 And the rough goat is the king of Grecia (ALEXANDER THE GREAT): and the great horn that is between his eyes is the first king.

8:22 Now that being broken, whereas four stood up for it (IN THE PLACE THEREOF), four kingdoms shall stand up out of the nation, but not in his power (SATANIC POWER).

8:23 And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full (OR, HAVE FILLED UP THEIR MEASURE. THEREFORE NOT FULL YET. THE ONE WORLD SYSTEM), a king of fierce countenance (A KING OF MIGHTY PRESENCE. ONE OF THE TITLES OF THE ANTICHRIST), and understanding dark sentences (SKILLED IN DISSIMULATION), shall stand up.

IT'S SATAN PLAYING THE ROLE OF CHRIST (ANTICHRIST=INSTEAD OF CHRIST IN THE GREEK).

8:24 And his power shall be mighty, but not of his own power PEOPLE MAKE SATAN POWERFUL): and he shall destroy the mighty and the holy people (HE WILL DESTROY THE MIGHTY AND THE CHURCH, BY DECEPTION).

8:25 And through his policy also he shall cause craft (DECEIT) to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify (PRIDE) himself in his heart, and by peace (NOT WAR) shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes (THE MESSIAH); but he shall be broken without hand (CAST DOWN TO THE PIT).

8:26 And the vision of the evening and the morning (THE 2,300 DAYS) which was told is true (YOU CAN COUNT ON IT. IT'S GOING TO HAPPEN): wherefore shut thou up the vision; for it shall be for many days.'

8:27 And I Daniel fainted, and was sick certain days; afterward I rose up, and did the king's business; and I was astonished at the vision, but none understood it.

THE BOOK OF DANIEL (CHAPTER EIGHT---PART ONE)

THE VISION OF THE TWO BEASTS.

CHAPTER SEVEN ENDS THE PORTION OF THE BOOK WRITTEN IN CHALDEE. NOW WE ARE GOING BACK TO THE HEBREW.

IN THIS CHAPTER (# 8 IS A NEW BEGINNING IN BIBLICAL NUMERICS), WE WILL SEE WHAT THE CHILDREN WILL BE DOING WHEN THEY COME OUT OF CAPTIVITY FROM THE KING OF BABYLON. HE WAS ONLY A TYPE, SHOWING US WHAT SHALL HAPPEN UNDER THE REIGN OF THE NEW KING OF BABYLON IN THE END GENERATION.

THE FUTURE KING OF BABYLON IS SATAN.

Daniel 8:1 In the third year of the reign of king Belshazzar (PRINCE OF BAAL) a vision appeared unto me, even unto me Daniel, after that which appeared unto me at the first.

THERE IS A TWO YEAR DELAY BETWEEN 7TH AND 8TH CHAPTER. AT THE END OF THE BABYLONIAN EMPIRE, FOR BELSHAZZAR REIGNED LITTLE MORE THAN TWO YEARS.

THIS IS TWO YEARS LATER, AFTER THE DREAM OF THE 4 BEASTS OF CHAPTER 7.

DANIEL IS 87 YEARS OLD HERE.

LIKE THE VISION IN CHAPTER 7, THIS ALSO IS COMPLETE IN ITSELF, BUT IS NECESSARY TO CONTRIBUTE ITS PROOF OF THE UNITY OF THE BOOK AS A WHOLE. THIS VISION (AND THE REST OF THE BOOK FROM HERE) IS WRITTEN IN HEBREW; BECAUSE ITS PURPOSE IS TO SHOW HOW GENTILE DOMINION (OF CHAPTER 2) SPECIALLY CONCERNS AND AFFECTS ISRAEL.

8:2 And I saw in a vision; and it came to pass, when I saw, that I was at Shushan (THE CHIEF CITY OF ALL PERSIA. IT MEANS LILLY) in the palace, which is in the province of Elam (ETERNITY); and I saw in a vision, and I was by the river of Ulai ( PURE WATER. THE EULAEUS CANAL NEAR SUSA. NOW KARUN RIVER).

8:3 Then I lifted up mine eyes, and saw, and, behold, there stood before the river a ram (SYMBOLIC OF A LEADER IN ISRAEL=FUTURE. NOT THE TODAY'S COUNTRY OF ISRAEL, BUT THE TRUE ISRAEL=CHRISTIAN KINGDOM) which had two horns: and the two horns were high; but one was higher than the other, and the higher came up last (LESS POWERFUL).

IN HISTORY, THE RAM WAS PERSIA, AND THE TWO HORNS WERE THE KINGS OF MEDIA AND PERSIA. CYRUS WAS HIGHER MEANING, HE BECAME GREATER THAN HIS FATHER ASTYAGES. BOTH WERE IN EXISTENCE WHEN DANIEL SAW THE VISION (VERSE 20).

IN THE FUTURE, THE RAM IS A LEADER FORM ISRAEL, THE CHRISTIAN NATIONS OF GREAT BRITAIN, CANADA, UNITED STATES.

8:4 I saw the ram pushing westward (TO THE WEST), and northward (TO THE NORTH), and southward (TO THE SOUTH); so that no beasts might stand before him, neither was there any that could deliver out of his hand; but he did according to his will, and became great (ACTED PROUDLY).

8:5 And as I was considering, behold, an he goat (SYMBOLIC OF EVIL) came out of the west on the face of the whole earth, and touched not the ground: and the goat had a notable horn between his eyes.

THE HE-GOAT WAS THE ACKNOWLEDGED SYMBOL OF GREECE, AS THE RAM WAS OF PERSIA.

IN THE FUTURE, THIS IS THE FORMATION OF THE ONE WORLD SYSTEM.

8:6 And he came to the ram that had two horns (HORNS ARE SYMBOLIC OF POWER), which I had seen standing before the river, and ran unto him in the fury of his power.

IN HISTORY, IT SYMBOLIZES THE RAPIDITY OF ALEXANDER THE GREAT 'S REQUESTS, WHICH, IN THE SHORT SPACE OF 13 YEARS, SUBDUED THE WORLD.

8:7 And I saw him come close unto the ram, and he was moved (MOVED HIMSELF, OR STROVE VIOLENTLY WITH) with choler (BILE) against him, and smote the ram, and brake his two horns: and there was no power in the ram to stand before him, but he cast him down to the ground, and stamped upon him: and there was none that could deliver the ram out of his hand (NO DELIVERER THAT COULD DELIVER HIM OUT OF HIS POWER).

8:8 Therefore the he goat waxed very great: and when he was strong, the great horn was broken; and for it came up four notable ones toward the four winds of heaven (ONLY GOD CAN CAUSE THE 4 WINDS TO BLOW ON EARTH. THEY BLOW FROM ALL 4 DIRECTIONS AT ONE TIME AND AT ONE POINT. GOD HAD STEPPED IN WHEN YOU HEAR OF THE 4 WINDS).

IN HISTORY, IT WAS THE GREAT EXTENT OF ALEXANDER'S CONQUESTS, AS "RAN" (VERSE 6) REFERS TO THE RAPIDITY OF THEM.

IN THE FUTURE SATAN IS FORMULATING HIS SYSTEM TOWARD THE ONE WORLD ORDER.

8:9 And out of one of them came forth a little horn (SATAN), which waxed exceeding great, toward the south, and toward the east, and toward the pleasant land (JERUSALEM).

HE CAME IN ALL DIRECTIONS.

8:10 And it waxed great, even to the host of heaven (STARS= ANGELS); and it cast down some of the host and of the stars (ANGELS) to the ground, and stamped upon them (TRAMPLED FROM UNDER FOOT).

THEM= THE PEOPLE SYMBOLIZED BY THEM.

THE BOOK OF DANIEL (CHAPTER SEVEN---PART TWO)

DANIEL WAS A PROPHET AND HE PROPHESIED DURING JUDAH'S CAPTIVITY BY THE BABYLONIANS. GOD GAVE DANIEL DREAMS AND VISIONS IN REGARDS OF THE FUTURE AND THE COMING OF SATAN AND HIS ONE WORLD SYSTEM.

CHAPTER SEVEN ADDRESSES THE FOUR HIDDEN DYNASTIES (POLITICS, ECONOMY, EDUCATION, RELIGION) THAT BRING THE ONE WORLD SYSTEM INTO POWER WITH SATAN BEING THE HEAD OF IT.

IT ALSO ADDRESSES THE DEATH OF THAT GOVERNMENT AND THE DEATH OF THOSE WHO FOLLOWIT, WHICH IS THE SECOND DEATH (THE DEATH OF THE SOUL).

Daniel 7:11 'I beheld then because of the voice of the great words which the horn spake (HORN=POWER. ) I beheld even till the beast (SATAN'S POLITICAL SYSTEM, REV. 13) was slain, and his body destroyed, and given to the burning flame.

IN OTHER WORDS, SATAN'S POLITICAL SYSTEM IS DESTROYED UPON CHRIST'S RETURN.

7:12 As concerning the rest of the beasts (THE REST OF HIS DOMINIONS), they had their dominion taken away: yet their lives were prolonged for a season and time (FOR AN APPOINTED TIME).

A LENGTHENING OF THEIR LIFE WAS GIVEN TO THEM: I.E. THE REMAINING THREE AFTER THE FOURTH BEAST HAS BEEN DESTROYED.

IN OTHER WORDS, SATAN'S POLITICAL AND RELIGIOUS SYSTEM ARE THROWN IN THE LAKE OF FIRE (REV. 20:10).

HOW THEIR LIVES WERE PROLONGED FOR THE APPOINTED TIME, WHICH IS THE MILLENNIUM (CHRIST'S THOUSAND YEAR REIGN)? THEY WON'T BE DESTROYED UNTIL AFTER THE MILLENNIUM, WHEN SATAN IS RELEASED FOR A SHORT TIME TO DECEIVE THE NATIONS AGAIN. THEIR DESTRUCTION WILL HAPPEN ON JUDGMENT DAY (REV. 20).

ON THE OTHER HAND, THE SEVEN THOUSAND FALLEN ANGELS (SATAN'S OFFICERS) WILL DIE INSTANTLY UPON CHRIST'S RETURN (REV. 11:13).

7:13 I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of Man (CHRIST) came with the clouds of heaven (HE IS COMING BACK WITH A CLOUD OF WITNESSES), and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought Him near before Him.

HARVEST ARRIVED AND CHRIST IS READY TO RULE THE WORLD.

7:14 And there was given Him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve Him: His dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.

EVERY KNEE WILL BOW DOWN TO CHRIST, BUT SADLY WHEN SATAN IS RELEASED FOR A SHORT TIME (REV. 20) TO TEST THE WORLD AGAIN, THEY WILL FAIL THE TEST AND FOLLOW SATAN INSTEAD OF CHRIST.

7:15 I Daniel was grieved in my spirit in the midst of my body, and the visions of my head troubled me.

I DIDN'T UNDERSTAND IT. HE DID UNDERSTAND THE ONE IN CHAPTER TWO.

7:16 I came near unto one of them that stood by, and asked him the truth of all this. So he told me, and made me know the interpretation of the things.

THE ANGEL THAT STOOD THERE EXPLAINED THIS TO ME.

7:17 'These great beasts, which are four, are four kings, which shall arise from the earth.

THESE ARE SATAN'S FOUR DYNASTIES.

THE TWO WHICH HAD ALREADY RISEN CANNOT BE THEREFORE INCLUDED: VIZ. BABYLON AND MEDO-PERSIA, WHICH ALMOST (AT THIS TIME) EQUALLED BABYLON IN EXTENT.

THE VISION IS NOT CONTINUOUS HISTORY, BUT THE PROPHECY OF A CRISIS: AND REFERS TO THE TEN TOES (TEN KINGS=ONE WORLD SYSTEM) OF THE FIFTH POWER OF DANIEL 2 (THE FIFTH PART HAD TO DO WITH NATIONS THAT WILL BRING THE ONE WORLD SYSTEM INTO POWER). THE ONE WORLD ORDER WILL NOT BE COMPLETED UNTIL SATAN COMES IN POWER TO COMPLETE IT. IT WILL RECEIVE A DEADLY WOUND (REV. 13:3) IN THIS, AND IN EACH SUCCESSIVE VISION WE ARE ALWAYS DIRECTED TO THE END AND CONSUMMATION.

7:18 But the saints of the MOST HIGH shall take the kingdom, and possess the kingdom forever, even forever and ever.'

THE SAINTS WILL FIGHT A SPIRITUAL WAR AND THEY WILL WIN AT THE END.

7:19 Then I would know the truth of the fourth beast (THE DECEPTION OF THE CHURCH=RELIGION IS ONE OF THE FOUR DYNASTIES HE WILL CONTROL), which was diverse (BECAUSE IT'S A SYSTEM) from all the others, exceeding dreadful, whose teeth were of iron, and his nails of brass; which devoured, brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with his feet;

THE DECEPTION IS VERY STRONG.

7:20 And of the ten horns that were in his head (THE ONE WORLD SYSTEM) , and of the other (LITTLE HORN= SATAN) which came up, and which three fell; even of that horn (LITTLE HORN) that had eyes, and a mouth that spake very great things, whose look was more stout than his fellows.

HE IS COMING TO PLAY THE ROLE OF CHRIST AND HE WILL DECEIVE MANY. HE IS SUPERNATURAL AND VERY INTELLIGENT.

7:21 I beheld, and the same horn made war with saints, and prevailed against them;

THE TEXT SAY, 'HE CAUSED THEM TO MISS A STEP'. HOWEVER, GOD WILL GUIDE OUR WAY AND WILL NOT MISS A STEP.

7:22 Until the Ancient of days came, and judgment was given to the saints of the Most High; and the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom.

WE WILL HAVE THE VICTORY AT THE END.

7:23 Thus he said, 'The fourth beast shall be the four kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces.

THIS IS HIS RELIGIOUS SYSTEM. HE IS GIVING HERE AN ADDITIONAL INTERPRETATION.

7:24 And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings (THESE ARE THE WORLD LEADERS THAT CONTROL THE WORLD. THEY REPRESENT THE SEVEN DOMINIONS OR SEVEN CONTINENTS) that shall arise: and another shall rise after them ; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings (GREAT BRITAIN, CANADA, UNITED STATES. IT WILL BE HARD FOR THE THREE KINGS BECAUSE THE SAINTS WILL BE WORKING HEAVILY).

7:25 And he shall speak great words against the MOST HIGH, and shall wear out (AFFLICT) the saints of the MOST HIGH, and think to change times and laws (SEASONS AND LAWS. GOD WAS THE GOVERNMENT. NOT EVEN ONE DOMINION TODAY OBEYS GOD. SO WE CAN SEE HOW THE SEASONS AND LAWS HAVE BEEN CHANGED.): and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time (3 1/2 YEARS. HOWEVER, CHRIST CHANGED THE TIME, NOT THE EVENTS, TO FIVE MONTHS FOR THE ELECT'S SAKE. MARK 13:20, REV. 9:10-11).

7:26 But the judgment shall sit, and they shall take away his dominion, to consume and to destroy it unto the end (WHEN CHRIST RETURNS).

THIS IS THE DETERMINING FACTOR OF THE INTERPRETATION.

7:27 And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven (UNDER HEAVEN IS EARTH), shall be given to the People of the saints of the MOST HIGH, Whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey Him.

NOT EVEN ONE OBEYS HIM TODAY.

7:28 Hitherto is the end of the matter. As for me Daniel, my cogitations much trouble me, and my countenance changed in me: but I kept the matter in my heart.

DANIEL COULD NOT QUITE UNDERSTAND IT.

HERE ENDS THE PORTION OF THE BOOK WRITTEN IN THE CHALDEE (OR GENTILE) LANGUAGE.

THE BOOK OF DANIEL (CHAPTER SEVEN---PART ONE)

CHAPTER SEVEN IS THREE YEARS BEFORE CHAPTER SIX.

BELSHAZZAR IS STILL ALIVE IN THIS CHAPTER.

IN THE LAST CHAPTER DANIEL WAS THROWN IN THE DEN OF LIONS FOR NOT OBEYING THE DECREE OF THE KING. THE KING WAS TRICKED BY HIS OWN GOVERNORS TO SIGN A DEGREE TO STOP ALLOWING DANIEL TO WORSHIP HIS GOD. THEREFORE, DANIEL WAS THROWN INTO THE DEN OF LIONS FOR DISOBEYING, BUT THE LORD RESCUED HIM.

THE KING PUNISHED THOSE EVIL GOVERNORS (HE LOVED DANIEL), BY THROWING THEM AND THEIR FAMILIES INTO THE DEN OF LIONS AND THEY WERE ALL CONSUMED.

Daniel 7:1 In the first year of Belshazzar king of Babylon Daniel had a dream and visions of his head upon his bed: then he wrote the dream, and told the sum of the matters.

THIS WAS IN 429 B.C. DANIEL BEING 84 YEARS OLD. THREE YEARS BEFORE THE EVENTS OF CHAPTER SIX.
THIS VISION (CHAPTER 7) IS STILL IN CHALDEE (THE GENTILE LANGUAGE), BECAUSE IT IS THE CONTINUATION OF 2:44, AND SHOWS WHAT WILL TAKE PLACE IN "THE DAYS OF THOSE KINGS" BEFORE THE STONE STRIKES THE IMAGE. IT BRINGS US UP TO THE END OF GENTILE DOMINION OVER ISRAEL.

BELSHAZAR WAS THE LAST KING OF BABYLON.

THE FUTURE KING OF BABYLON (CONFUSION IN THE HEBREW) IS SATAN.

7:2 Daniel spake and said, "I saw in my vision by night, and, behold, the four winds of the heaven strove upon the great sea.

THE FOUR WINDS REPRESENT THE END OF THIS EARTH AGE (REV. 7). ALL BLOWING AT THE SAME TIME BRINGING THE END.

SEA IS SYMBOLIC OF PEOPLE, NATIONS, MULTITUDES (REV. 17:15).

7:3 And four great beasts came up from the sea, diverse one from another.

THEY ARE THE 4 HEAD DYNASTIES: 1. EDUCATION. 2. POLITICAL. 3. ECONOMY. 4. RELIGION.

7:4 The first was like a lion (LOOKED LIKE A LION), and had eagle's wings (THE WINGS THAT GOD SAID, I WILL PROTECT YOU): I beheld till the wings thereof were plucked, and it was lifted up from the earth, and made stand upon the feet as a man (LOOKED LIKE A MAN), and a man's heart was given to it.

THIS IS THE KENITE SYSTEM...THE ONE WORLD ORDER.

7:5 And behold another beast, a second, like to a bear (A BEAR IS SYMBOLIC OF RUSSIA). and it raised up itself on one side, and it had three ribs in the mouth of it between the teeth of it, 'Arise, devour much flesh.'

THERE WAS A 5TH PART THAT HAD TO DO WITH THE NATIONS.

7:6 After this I beheld, and lo another, like a leopard (THE KENITES), which had upon the back of it four wings of a fowl; the beast had also four heads; and dominion was given to it.

7:7 After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it; and it had ten horns.

THE 10 HORNS ARE THE 10 RULERS OF THE WORLD THAT WILL BRING FORTH THE WORLD PEACE. THE 10 HORNS ARE ADDRESSED IN REV. 17:12.

THEY ARE DREADFUL AND TERRIBLE BECAUSE OF THE DECEPTION.

7:8 I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn (SATAN), before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots (LITERALLY DESTROY THEM): and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of a man (ISAIAH 14. 'IS THIS THE MAN (SATAN) THAT DECEIVETH THE WHOLE WORLD? MAN=ISH, NOT ADAM. MEANING HE IS CREATED FROM A DIFFERENT SUBSTANCE THAT US. HE IS NOT FLESH), and a mouth speaking great things.

THE LITTLE HORN=A HORN OF SMALL BEGINNINGS. THIS IDENTIFIES THE FIRST OF 12 TITLES GIVEN TO THE POWER COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE ANTICHRIST (SATAN). OTHER TITLES ARE THE KING OF BABYLON (ISAIAH 14:4), THE ASSYRIAN (ISAIAH 14:25), LUCIFER, "SON OF THE MORNING", IN OPPOSITION TO "THE BRIGHT AND MORNING STAR" (ISAIAH 14:12), "THE PRINCE THAT SHALL COME" (DANIEL 9:26), "THE KING OF FIERCE COUNTENANCE" (DANIEL 8:23), "THE VILE PERSON" (DANIEL 11:21), "THE WILFUL KING (DANIEL 11:36), "THE MAN OF SIN", (II THESS. 2:3), "THE SON OF PERDITION" (II THESS. 2:3), "THAT WICKED OR LAWLESS ONE (II THESS. 2:8, REV. 13:18), "THE BEAST WITH TEN HORNS" (REV. 13:1).

MAKE A NOTE OF REV. 17:12.

7:9 I beheld till the thrones were cast down (THE SEATS FOR JUDGMENT. THOSE THRONES WERE DESTROYED. THE REFERENCE IS TO THIS, REV. 4:2), and the Ancient of days did sit, Whose garment was white as snow (PURE), and the hair of His head like the pure wool: His throne was like the fiery flame, and His wheels as burning fire (THIS IS GOD'S VEHICLE (EZ. 1). HIS THRONE WAS INSIDE THAT VEHICLE).

7:10 A fiery stream issued and came forth from before Him: thousands ministered unto Him (WAITING UPON HIM), and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before Him (STANDING, INDICATING READINESS FOR SERVICE): the judgment was set (THE JUDGE WHO ACTUALLY SAT ON THAT SEAT).

THE BOOK OF DANIEL (CHAPTER SIX---PART TWO)

THE DEN OF LIONS

DANIEL WAS THE HEAD OF THE GOVERNMENT DURING DARIUS REIGN AND THE OTHER GOVERMENTAL OFFICIALS WERE NOT HAPPY ABOUT THAT. THEY TRICKED THE KING TO SIGN A DECREE THAT WOULD HAVE CAUSED ANYONE TO BE PUT TO DEATH IF HE WAS CAUGHT WORSHIPPING ANY GOD.

THE KING CARED ABOUT DANIEL BUT HE SIGNED THE DECREE WITHOUT REALIZING WHAT HE DID. THE DECREE COULD NOT BE CHANGED AFTER THE KING SIGNED IT.

THESE EVIL GOVERMENTAL OFFICIALS MADE SURE THAT THEY LET THE KING KNOW THAT DANIEL WAS WORSHIPPING HIS GOD THREE TIMES A DAY.

THE KING LOST HIS SLEEP OVER THIS MATTER BECAUSE HE DID NOT WANT DANIEL TO BE PUT TO DEATH.

LET'S CONTINUE WITH THE CONCLUSION OF THE CHAPTER.

Daniel 6:16 Then the king commanded, and they brought Daniel, and cast him into the den of lions. Now the king spake and said unto Daniel, "Thy God Whom thou servest continually, He will deliver thee."

GOD TAKES CARE OF HIS OWN. HE IS NOT ONLY GOING TO DELIVER HIM BUT HE WILL PUNISH HIS ADVERSARIES.

6:17 And a stone was brought, and laid upon the mouth of the den; and the king sealed it with his own signet, and with the signet of his lords; that the purpose might not be changed concerning Daniel.

THE KING WOULDN'T LOOK GOOD AMONG HIS PEOPLE IF HE DIDN'T GO AHEAD WITH THE DECREE.

6:18 Then the king went to his palace, and passed the night fasting: neither were instruments of music brought before him, and his sleep went from him.

SHOWING THE LONGSTANDING AFFECTION WHICH DARIUS HAD FOR DANIEL.

THERE WERE NO PARTIES FOR HIM.

6:19 Then the king arose very early in the morning, and went in haste unto the den of lions.

6:20 And when he came to the den, he cried with a lamentable voice unto Daniel: and the king spake and said to Daniel, "O Daniel, servant of the living God, is thy God Whom thou servest continually, able to deliver thee from the lions ?"

6:21 Then said Daniel unto the king, "O king, live forever.

6:22 My God hath sent His angel, and hath shut the lions mouths, that they have not hurt me: forasmuch as before Him innocensy (PURITY) was found in me: and also before thee, O king, have I done no hurt.

DANIEL KNEW THAT GOD WAS GOING TO RESCUE HIM.

6:23 Then was the king exceeding glad for him (ANOTHER PROOF OF THE LONGSTANDING FRIENDSHIP BETWEEN DARIUS AND DANIEL), and commanded that they should take Daniel up out of the den. So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no manner of hurt was found upon him, because he believed in his God.

DANIEL HAD THE SEAL OF GOD IN HIS FOREHEAD.

6:24 And the king commanded, and they brought those men which had accused Daniel, and they cast them into the den of lions, them, their children, and their wives; and the lions had the mastery of them, and brake all their bones in pieces or ever they came at the bottom of the den.

GOD AVENGES HIS OWN.

6:25 Then king Darius wrote unto all people, nations, and languages, that dwell in all the earth; "Peace be multiplied unto you."

A TYPE OF THE NEW WORLD ORDER.

6:26 I make a decree, That in every dominion of my kingdom men tremble and fear (RESPECT) before the God of Daniel: for He is the living God, and stedfast forever, and His kingdom that which shall not be destroyed, and His dominion shall be even unto the end.

6:27 He delivereth and rescueth, and He worketh signs and wonders in heaven and in earth, Who hath delivered Daniel from the power of the lions."

BEFORE YOU RESCUE SOMEONE THEY MUST BE IN DANGER. GOD RESCUED HIM FROM THAT DANGER.

6:28 So this Daniel prospered in the reign of Darius, and in the reign of Cyrus the Persian.

CYRUS WAS THE SON OF DARIUS THE MEDE. HE IS THE YOUNG DARIUS, HIS FATHER BEING THE OLD.

GOD NAMED CYRUS BEFORE HE WAS EVEN BORN.

THE BOOK OF DANIEL (CHAPTER SIX---PART ONE)

THE PLOT TO SLAY DANIEL

Daniel 6:1 It pleased Darius to set over the kingdom an hundred and twenty princes, which should be over the whole kingdom;

HE SET UP GOVERNORS TO BE OVER THE KINGDOM.

DARIUS THE MEDIAN OF 5:31 IS THE ARTAXERXES (THE GREAT KING) OF NEH. 2:1 AND EZRA 6:14, AHASUERUS OF ESTHER 1:1. THESE NAMES ARE ALL USED OF ONE AND THE SAME PERSON.

6:2 And over these three presidents; of whom Daniel was first: that the princes might give accounts (ACCOUNTANTS) unto them, and the king should have no damage.

6:3 Then this Daniel was preferred (FAVOURED) above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him (REFERRING TO THE AFFECTIONATE REGARD IN WHICH DARIUS HELD DANIEL AFTER MANY YEARS OF FAITHFUL SERVICE); and the king thought to set him over the whole realm.

SHOWING THAT DANIEL WAS WELL KNOWN TO DARIUS THE MEDIAN, AND APPRECIATED.

6:4 Then the presidents and princes sought to find occasion against Daniel concerning the kingdom; but they could find none occasion nor fault; forasmuch as he was faithful, neither was there any error of fault found in him.

DANIEL WAS OVER THE GOVERNMENT AND THE TAXING, AND THE ACCOUNTING. HE WAS THEIR CHIEF EXECUTIVE, AND HE DID NOT OVERDUE IT WITH TAXES BY BEING GREEDY.

THEY DID NOT LIKE HIM.

6:5 Then said these men, "We shall not find any occasion against this Daniel, except we find it against him concerning the law of his God."

THEY KNEW DANIEL WOULD OBEY THE LAW.

6:6 Then these presidents and princes assembled together to the king, and said thus unto him, "King Darius, live forever.

6:7 All the presidents of the kingdom, the governors, and the princes, the counsellors, and the captains, have consulted together to establish a royal statute, and to make a firm decree, that whosoever shall ask a petition of any God or man for thirty days, save of thee, O king, he shall be cast into the den of lions.

THEIR MOTIVE WAS TO GET RID OF DANIEL.

6:8 Now, O king, establish the decree, and sign the writing (PUT IT IN WRITING), that it be not changed, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which altereth not."

THEY KNEW THAT IF THE KING SEALED THAT DECREE IT WOULD HAVE BECOME LAW, AND EVEN THE KING COULD NOT HAVE CHANGED IT IF HE WANTED TO.

6:9 Wherefore king Darius signed the writing of the decree.

IT BECAME A LAW.

6:10 Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem (BECAUSE THEY WERE CAPTIVE. THEY HAD TO DO IT 3 TIMES A DAY, I KINGS 8:48), he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime.

6:11 Then these men assembled, and found Daniel praying and making supplication before his God.

6:12 Then they came near, and spake before the king concerning the king's decree; "Hast thou not signed a decree, that every man that shall ask a petition of any God or man within thirty days, save of thee, O king, shall be cast into the den of lions?" The king answered and said, "The thing is true, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which altereth not (WHEN IT BECOMES A LAW IT CANNOT BE CHANGED)."

6:13 Then answered they and said before the king, "That Daniel, which is of the children of the captivity of Judah, regardeth not thee, O king, nor the decree that thou hast signed, but maketh his petition three times a day (HE IS DISOBEYING YOU 3 TIMES A DAY)."

6:14 Then the king, when he heard these words, was sore displeased with himself, and set his heart on Daniel to deliver him: and he labored till the going down of the sun to deliver him.

THE KING CARED ABOUT DANIEL A LOT AND HE WAS TRYING TO FIND A WAY TO SAVE DANIEL. HE KNOWS HE WAS TRICKED TO SIGN THAT DECREE.

6:15 Then these men assembled unto the king, and said unto the king, "Know, O king, that the law of Medes and Persians is, That no decree nor statute which the king establiseth may be changed."

IN OTHER WORDS, YOU HAVEN'T GOT A CHANCE O KING.

LESSON: DO NOT ALLOW GREEDY PEOPLE TO PLACE ANY CONDITION OR RULE UPON YOU. BE FAITHFUL TO GOD.
