THE BOOK OF DANIEL (CHAPTER FIVE---PART ONE)

BELSHAZZAR'S VISION OF THE HAND. HIS DOOM.

BELSHAZZAR( PRINCE OF BAAL) WAS NEBUCHADNEZZAR'S GRANDSON. HE WAS A DRUNK AND AN IDOL WORSHIPPER.

THE BOOK OF DANIEL IS DIVIDED INTO TWO PARTS: THE FIRST PART IS HISTORIC, WHILE THE LATTER IS PROPHETIC.

DANIEL'S ENTIRE PROPHECY WAS GIVEN IN THE TIME OF JUDAH'S CAPTIVITY BY THE KING OF BABYLON. HE WAS ONLY A TYPE AND TEACHES US WHAT WILL HAPPEN UNDER THE RULE OF SATAN AS THE FUTURE KING OF BABYLON.

Daniel 5:1 Belshazzar (PRINCE OF BAAL) the king made a great feast to a thousand of his lords, and drank wine before the thousand.

5:2 Belshazzar, whiles he tasted the wine, commanded to bring the golden and silver vessels which his father (GRANDFATHER) Nebuchadnezzar had taken out of the temple which was in Jerusalem; that the king, and his princes, his wives, and his concubines, might drink therein.

HE WAS ORGANIZING A DRUNKEN ORGY.

THOSE VESSELS WERE SACRED, AND SYMBOLIC OF WHAT WOULD BECOME THE HOLY COMMUNION. IT WAS A BLASPHEMY WHAT HE DID.

5:3 Then they brought the golden vessels that were taken out of the temple of the house of God which was at Jerusalem; and the king, and his princes, his wives, and his concubines, drank in them.

AND AGAIN, THIS WAS A BLASPHEMY AGAINST GOD.

5:4 They drank wine, and praised the gods of gold, and of silver, of brass, of iron, of wood, and of stone.

GOLD, SILVER, BRASS, IRON, WOOD, STONE= SIX.

NUMBER #6 DENOTES THE HUMAN NUMBER IN BIBLICAL NUMERICS.

THE GREAT MEN WHO HAVE STOOD OUT IN DEFIANCE OF GOD (GOLIATH, THE KING OF BABYLON, AND THE FUTURE KING OF BABYLON=SATAN) ARE ALL EMPHATICALLY MARKED BY THIS NUMBER.

5:5 In the same hour (INSTANTLY) came forth fingers of a man's hand, and wrote over against the candlestick upon the plaister of the wall of the king's palace: and the king saw the part of the hand that wrote.

5:6 Then the king's countenance was changed, and his thoughts troubled him, so that the joints of his loins were loosed, and his knees smote one against another.

HE WAS VERY SCARED.

5:7 The king cried aloud to bring in the astrologers, the Chaldeans (WISE MEN), and the soothsayers. And the king spake, and said to the wise men of Babylon, "Whosoever shall read this writing, and shew me the interpretation thereof, shall be clothed with scarlet (PURPLE=THE COLOR OF ROYALTY), and have a chain of gold about his neck, and shall be the third ruler in the kingdom (HE WOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE THIRD KINGDOM)."

5:8 Then came in all the king's wise men: but they could not read the writing, nor make known to the king the interpretation thereof.

5:9 Then was king Belshazzar greatly troubled, and his countenance was changed in him, and his lords were astonied.

HE DID NOT HAVE A GOOD DAY.

5:10 Now the queen (QUEEN MOTHER = NITOCRIS, NEBUCHADNEZZAR'S DAUGHTER IN LAW) by reason of the words of the king and his lords cane into the banquet house: and the queen spake and said, "O king, live forever: let not thy thoughts trouble thee, nor let thy countenance be changed:

5:11 There is a man in thy kingdom, in whom is the spirit of the holy gods; and in the days of thy father (GRANDFATHER) light and understanding and wisdom, like the wisdom of the gods, was found in him; whom the king Nebuchadnezzar thy father, the king, I say, thy father, made master of the magicians, astrologers, Chaldeans, and soothsayers;

5:12 Forasmuch as an excellent spirit, and knowledge, and understanding, interpreting of dreams, and shewing of hard sentences, and dissolving of doubts, were found in the same Daniel, whom the king named Belteshazzar: now let Daniel be called, and he will shew the interpretation."

5:13 Then was Daniel brought in before the king. And the king spake and said unto Daniel, "Art thou that Daniel, which art of the children of the captivity of Judah (SHOWING THAT THE KING HAD NO PERSONAL KNOWLEDGE OF DANIEL, OR HAD DISREGARDED HIM), whom the king my father (GRANDFATHER) brought out of Jewry (THERE IS NOT SUCH A WORD IN THE TEXTS. IT'S JUDAH).

5:14 I have ever heard of thee, that the spirit of the gods is in thee, and that light and understanding and excellent wisdom is found in thee.

THE BOOK OF DANIEL (CHAPTER 4)

IN THIS CHAPTER WE ARE GOING TO SEE NEBUCHADNEZZAR'S DREAM OF THE GREAT TREE.

DANIEL IN THE HEBREW MEANS GOD IS MY JUDGE, OR GOD WILL JUDGE. HE WAS FROM THE ROYAL SEED OF JUDAH, AND HIS ENTIRE PROPHECY WAS GIVEN IN THE CAPTIVITY OF THE KING OF BABYLON. NEBUCHADNEZZAR WAS ONLY A TYPE AND SETS FORTH OF WHAT SHALL HAPPEN UNDER THE REIGN OF THE KING OF BABYLON (SATAN) IN THE END GENERATION.

Daniel 4:1 Nebuchadnezzar the king, unto all the people, the nations, and languages, that dwell in all the earth; "Peace be multiplied unto you.

THE FALSE CHRIST OF THE END TIMES WILL BE COMING PEACEFULLY (8:25).

4:2 I thought it good to shew the signs and wonders (ASTONISHING THINGS) that the HIGH God had wrought toward me.

4:3 How great are His signs ! and how mighty are His wonders ! His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and His dominion is from generation to generation.

4:4 I Nebuchadnezzar was at rest in mine house, and flourishing in my palace:

4:5 I saw a dream which made me afraid, and the thoughts upon my bed and the visions of my head troubled me.

HE DID NOT UNDERSTAND IT.

4:6 Therefore made I a decree to bring in all the wise men of Babylon before me (PROBABLY DONE FROM MOTIVES OF STATE POLICY, OR ACTING ON DANIEL'S OWN ADVICE), that they might make known unto me the interpretation of the dream.

4:7 Then came in the magicians, the astrologers, the Chaldeans, and the soothsayers (HIS RELIGIOUS COMMUNITY): and I told the dream before them; but they did not make known unto me the interpretation thereof.

4:8 But at the last Daniel came in before me, whoso name was Belteshazzar (O BEL PROTECT HIM), according to the name of my god, and in whom is the spirit of the holy gods: and before him I told the dream, saying,

4:9 'O Belteshazzar, master of the magicians (DANIEL STILL HELD THE POSITION GIVEN HIM IN 2:48), because I know that the spirit of the holy gods is in thee, and no secret troubleth thee, tell me the visions of my dream that I have seen, and the interpretation thereof.

4:10 Thus were the visions of mine head in my bed; I saw, and behold a tree in the midst of the earth, and the height thereof was great.

TREES ARE SYMBOLIC OF MEN.

THE TWO TREES IN THE GARDEN OF EDEN: THE TREE OF LIFE (CHRIST), AND THE TREE OF THE KNOWLEDGE OF GOOD AND EVIL.

GOD USES SYMBOLISM TO BRING FORTH HIS MESSAGE.

4:11 The tree grew, and was strong, and the height thereof reached unto heaven, and the sight thereof to the end of all the earth:

4:12 The leaves thereof were fair, and the fruit thereof much, and in it was meat for all: the beasts of the field had shadow under it, and the fowls of the heaven dwelt in the boughs thereof, and all flesh was fed of it.

THE TREE IS NEBUCHADNEZZAR, BUT IN THE FUTURE IS THE FALSE CHRIST WHO COMES PROSPEROUSLY.

4:13 I saw in the visions of my head upon my bed, and behold, a watcher (A CHALDEE NAME FOR AN ANGELIC BEING, WATCHING OVER THE AFFAIRS OF MEN) and an holy one (AN HOLY ANGEL) came down from heaven;

4:14 He cried aloud, and said thus, 'Hew down the tree, and cut off his branches, shake off his leaves, and scatter his fruit: let the beasts get away from under it, and the fowls from his branches:

THE TREE WAS NEBUCHADNEZZAR AND SATAN WHEN HE WAS ALLOWED TO WALK THE EARTH UNTIL CHRIST STOPPED IT.

4:15 Nevertheless leave the stump of his roots in the earth, even with a band of iron and brass (SATAN'S CONTROL=Rev. 9:11), in the tender grass of the field; and let it be wet with the dew of heaven, and let his portion be with the beasts in the grass of the earth (SATAN IS IN HEAVEN= REV. 12:7):

4:16 Let his heart be changed from man's and let a beast's heart be given unto him; and let seven times pass over him (4 YEARS).

THE FIGURE HERE CHANGES FROM A TREE TO THAT OF A BEAST, MENTIONED IN VERSE 15.

4:17 This matter is by the decree of the watchers (ANGELS), and the demand (MANDATE) by the word of the holy ones: to the intent that the living may know that the MOST HIGH ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever He will, and setteth up over it the basest (LOWEST) of men.'

4:18 This dream I king Nebuchadnezzar have seen. Now thou, O Belteshazzar, declare the interpretation thereof, forasmuch as all the wise men of my kingdom are not able to make known unto me the interpretation: but thou art able; for the spirit of the holy gods is in thee.'

NEBUCHADNEZZAR WOULD HAVE GIVEN A DISEASE.

4:19 Then Daniel, whose name was Belteshazzar, was astonied for one hour (FUTURE= ONE HOUR WITH THE BEAST= REV. 17), and his thoughts troubled him. The king spake, and said, 'Belteshazzar, let not the dream, or the interpretation thereof, trouble thee.' Belteshazzar answered and said, 'My lord, the dream be to them that hate thee, and the interpretation thereof to thine enemies.

4:20 The tree that thou sawest, which grew, and was strong, whose height reached unto the heaven, and the sight thereof to all the earth;

HE IS IN BOTH PLACES.

4:21 Whose leaves were fair, and the fruit thereof much, and in it was meat for all; under which the beasts of the field dwelt, and upon whose branches the fowls of the heaven had their habitation:

IT FED EVERYONE.

SATAN WILL BRING A FAKE PEACE IN THE NEAR FUTURE.

4:22 It is thou, O king, that art grown and become strong: for thy greatness is grown, and reacheth unto heaven, and thy dominion to the end of the earth.

THIS IS GOING TO BE IN THE END.

4:23 And whereas the king saw a watcher and an holy one coming down from heaven, and saying, Hew the tree down, and destroy it; yet leave the stump of the roots thereof in the earth, even with a band of iron and brass, in the tender grass of the field; and let it be wet with the dew of heaven, and let his portion be with the beasts of the field, till seven times pass over him;

SEVEN TIMES= 4 YEARS HISTORICALLY.

NUMBER # 4 IS THE NUMBER GOD COMMUNICATES WITH YOU, IN BIBLICAL NUMERICS.

4:24 This is the interpretation, O king, and this is the decree of the MOST HIGH, which is come upon my lord the king:

THIS IS WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN TO YOU.

4:25 That they shall drive thee from men, and thy dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field, and they shall make thee to eat grass as oxen, and they shall wet thee with the dew of heaven, and seven times shall pass over thee, till thou know that the MOST HIGH ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever He will (HE PROMISED THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN TO US).

THE MENTAL DISEASE OF NEBUCHADNEZZAR IS RARE. IT IS CALLED LYCANTHROPY (FROM THE GREEK= LUKOS= A WOLF, AND ANTHROPOS= A MAN), BECAUSE THE MAN IMAGINES HIMSELF TO BE A WOLF, OR SOME OTHER ANIMAL.

4:26 And whereas they commanded to leave the stump of the tree roots; thy kingdom shall be sure unto thee, after that thou shalt have known that the heavens do rule.

NEBUCHADNEZZAR WILL BE CONVERTED AFTER HIS DISEASE.

4:27 Wherefore, O king, let my counsel be acceptable unto thee, and break off thy sins by righteousness (RIGHTEOUSNESS NEVER SIGNIFIES ALMS OR ALMGIVING), and thine iniquities by shewing mercy to the poor (CAPTIVES); if it may be a lengthening of thy tranquility.'

YOUR PEACEFULNESS WILL CONTINUE IF YOU REPENT.

4:28 All this came upon the king Nebuchadnezzar.

4:29 At the end of twelve months he walked in the palace of the kingdom of Babylon.

4:30 The king spake, and said, 'not this great Babylon, that I have built for the house of the kingdom (THE ROYAL PALACE) by the might (GOD'S MIGHT, NOT HIS) of my power, and for the honor of my majesty?'

HE DID NOT GIVE CREDIT TO GOD.

4:31 While the word was in the king's mouth, there fell a voice from heaven, saying, 'O king Nebuchadnezzar, to thee it is spoken; The kingdom is departed from thee.

THERE ARE CONSEQUENSES IF YOU DON'T GIVE GOD THE CREDIT FOR ALL YOUR BLESSINGS.

4:32 And they shall drive thee from men, and thy dwelling shall be with the beast of the field: they shall make thee to eat grass as oxen, and seven times (4 YEARS) shall pass over thee, until thou know that the MOST HIGH ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever He will.'

4:33 The same hour was the thing fulfilled upon Nebuchadnezzar: and he was driven from men, and did eat grass as oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven, till his hairs were grown like eagles' feathers, and his nails like birds' claws.

SATAN WILL BE PLAYING THE ROLE OF AN EAGLE IN REV. 12.

4:34 And at the end of the days I Nebuchadnezzar lifted up mine eyes unto heaven, and mine understanding returned unto me, and I blessed the MOST HIGH, and I praised and honored Him That liveth forever, Whose dominion is an everlasting dominion, and His kingdom is from generation to generation:

A GREAT CHANGE HAS HAPPENED HERE; NEBUCHADNEZZAR IS CONVERTED.

4:35 And all the inhabitants of the earth as reputed as nothing: and He doeth according to His will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth: none can stay His hand, or say unto Him, 'doest Thou?'

YOU DON'T QUESTION GOD; HE DOES WHATSOEVER HE PLEASES.

4:36 At the same time my reason returned me; and for the glory of my kingdom, mine and brightness returned unto me; and my counsellors and my lords sought unto me; and I was established in my kingdom, excellent majesty was added unto me.

4:37 Now I Nebuchadnezzar praise and extol and honor the King of heaven, all Whose works are truth, and His ways judgment: those that walk in pride He is able to abase (PUT YOU DOWN)."

THE BOOK OF DANIEL (CHAPTER THREE)

DANIEL'S COMPANIONS AND THE FIERY FURNACE.

Daniel 3:1 Nebuchadnezzar the king made an image of gold, whose height was threescore cubits, and the breadth thereof six cubits (666): he set it up in the plain of Dura (12 miles SOUTHEAST OF BABYLON).

HE WAS PROUD OF HIMSELF WITH ALL THAT GOLD THAT HE SET AN IMAGE TO WORSHIP. THE IMAGE WAS NOT OF A HUMAN BEING. THE HEIGHT AND BREADTH ARE OUT OF ALL PROPORTION FOR THIS; THE FORMER BEING ONE TO TEN INSTEAD OF ONE TO SIX.

THIS IS ONLY A TYPE FOR THE IMAGE IN THE BOOK OF REVELATION.

3:2 Then Nebuchadnezzar the king sent to gather together the princes, the governors, and the captains, the judges, the treasurers, the counselors, the sheriffs, and all the rulers of the provinces, to come to the dedication of the image which Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up.

THIS WOULD HARDLY HAVE TAKEN PLACE TILL AFTER THE CAMPAIGN REFERRED TO IN NOTE ON "CAME" (1:1). IT WAS THEREFORE PROBABLY HELD ABOUT 475 B.C., IN DANIEL'S 38TH YEAR, 20 YEARS AFTER NEBUCHADNEZZAR'S DREAM OF HIMSELF, THE "HEAD OF GOLD" (CHAPTER 2).

FOR THE FUTURE SENSE IT REFERS TO THE POLITICAL BEAST SYSTEM OF REV. 13.

3:3 Then the princes, the governors, and captains, the judges, the treasurers, the counselors, the sheriffs, and all the rulers of all provinces, were gathered together unto the dedication of the image that Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up; and they stood before the image that Nebuchadnezzar had set up; and they stood before the image that Nebuchadnezzar had set up.

3:4 Then an herald cried aloud, "To you it is commanded, O people, nations, and languages,

3:5 That at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, dulcimer, and all kinds of music, ye fall down and worship the golden image that Nebuchadnezzar the king hath set up:

3:6 And whoso falleth not down and worshippeth shall the same hour be cast into the midst of a burning fiery furnace."

3:7 Therefore at that time, when all the people heard the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and all kinds of music, all the people, the nations, and the languages, fell down and worshipped the golden image that Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up.

3:8 Wherefore at that time certain Chaldeans came near, and accused the Jews.

3:9 They spake and said to the king Nebuchadnezzar, "O king live forever.

3:10 Thou, O king, hast made a decree, that every man that shall hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and dulcimer, and all kinds of music, shall fall down and worship the golden image:

OFFICERS OF THE POLITICAL FIELD (REV. 13).

SPIRITUALLY IT WILL BE WORSE IN THE FUTURE.

3:11 And whoso falleth not down and worshippeth, that he should be cast into the midst of a burning fiery furnace.

3:12 There are certain Jews whom thou hast set over the affairs of the province of Babylon, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego; these men, O king, have not regarded thee: they serve not thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up."

3:13 Then Nebuchadnezzar in his rage and fury commanded to bring Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego. Then they brought these men before the king.

3:14 Nebuchadnezzar spake and said unto them, "Is it true, O Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, do not ye serve my gods, nor worship the golden image which I have set up ?

THE HEAD OF THAT IMAGE WAS SYMBOLIC OF HIM. HE THOUGHT HE WAS PRETTY SPECIAL.

3:15 Now if ye be ready that at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and dulcimer, and all kinds of music, ye fall down and worship the image which I have made; well: but if ye worship not , ye shall be cast the same hour into the midst of a burning fiery furnace; and who is that God that shall deliver you out of my hands ?"

GOD DOES TAKE CARE OF HIS OWN.

3:16 Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, answered and said to the king, "O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter.

IT IS NOT NESECCARY TO ANSWER YOU IN THIS MATTER.

3:17 If it be so, our God Whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us out of thine hand, O king.

THEY HAD AN AMAZING FAITH IN GOD.

3:18 But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up."

3:19 Then was Nebuchadnezzar full of fury, and the form of his visage was changed against Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego: therefore he spake, and commanded that they should heat the furnace one seven times more than it was wont to be heated.

3:20 And he commanded the most mighty men that were in his army to bind Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, and to cast them into the burning fiery furnace.

3:21 Then these men were bound in their coats, their hosen, and their hats, and their other garments, and were cast into the midst of the burning fiery furnace.

THE GOSPEL ARMOR PROTECTS US FROM THE FIERY DARTS OF SATAN.

3:22 Therefore because the king's commandment was urgent, and the furnace exceeding hot, the flame of the fire slew those men that took up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego.

GOD ALWAYS TAKES CARE OF HIS OWN.

HE KILLED THOSE MEN WHEN WHEN THEY GOT CLOSE TO THE DOOR.

3:23 And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, fell down bound into the midst of the burning fiery furnace.

3:24 Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonied, and rose up in haste, and spake, and said unto his counselors, "Did not we cast three men bound into the mist of the fire?" They answered and said unto the king, "True, O king."

3:25 He answered and said, "Lo, I see four men loose (LOOSE FORM THE WICKEDNESS OF THIS WORLD), walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the son of God."

CHRIST WAS THERE WITH THEM.

WE HAVE NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT AT THE END TIMES. HE WILL DELIVER US OF ALL EVIL. THEY WERE DELIVERED BY GOD.

3:26 Then Nebuchadnezzar came near to the mouth of the burning fiery furnace, and spake, and said, "Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, ye servants of the most high God, come forth, and come hither." Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, came forth of the midst of the fire.

3:27 And the princes, governors, and captains, and the king's counsellors, bein, and delivered His servants that trusted in Him, and have changed the king's word, and yielded their bodies, that they might not serve nor worship any god, except their own God.g gathered together, saw these men, upon whose bodies the fire had no power, nor was an hair of their head singed, neither were their coats changed, nor the smell of fire had passed on them.

NOT EVEN ONE HAIR ON THEIR HEAD OR BURNED, AND THEIR CLOTHES DID NOT EVEN SMELL OF SMOKE.

MAKE A NOTE OF LUKE 21:12-18.

3:28 Then Nebuchadnezzar spake, and said, "Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, Who hath sent His angel, and delivered His servants that trusted in Him, and have changed the king's word, and yielded their bodies, that they might not serve nor worship any god, except their own God.

3:29 Therefore I make a decree, That every people, nation, and language, which speak anything amiss against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, shall be cut in pieces, and their houses shall be made a dunghill: because there is no other God that can deliver after this sort."

3:30 Then the king promoted (PROSPERED) Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, in the province of Babylon.

NEBUCHADNEZZAR IS ONLY A TYPE.

THE FALSE CHRIST WILL PROSPER THE ONES WHO LOVE HIM. HE WILL BRING THE FAKE PEACE TO THE WORLD.

THE BOOK OF DANIEL (CHAPTER TWO---PART TWO)

CONTINUING WITH THE BOOK OF DANIEL, CHAPTER TWO, PART TWO.

NEBUCHADNEZZAR, THE KING OF BABYLON HAD A DREAM AND NO ONE FROM HIS RELIGIOUS COMMUNITY COULD INTERPRET.

GOD GAVE DANIEL THE GIFT IN INTERPRETING DREAMS AND VISIONS, AND HE WAS THE ONLY ONE WHO COULD INTERPRET THE KING'S DREAM. THE KING ORDERED THE EXECUTION OF HIS WISE MEN BECAUSE THEY WERE NOT ABLE TO INTERPRET THE KING'S DREAM. HOWEVER, DANIEL INTERVENED SO THEY WEREN'T KILLED.

Daniel 2:23 I thank Thee, and praise Thee, O Thou God of my fathers, Who hast given me wisdom and might, and hast made known unto me now what we desired of Thee: for Thou hast now made known unto us the king's matter."

GOD GAVE HIM THAT GIFT AND HE WENT STRAIGHT TO GOD TO ASK HIM TO INTERPRET THE DREAM. HE TRUSTED HIM.

2:24 Therefore Daniel went in unto Arioch, whom the king had ordained to destroy the wise men of Babylon: he went and said thus unto him: "Destroy not the wise men of Babylon: bring me in before the king, and I will shew unto the king the interpretation."

2:25 Then Arioch brought in Daniel before the king in haste, and said thus unto him, "I have found a man of the captives of Judah, that will make known unto the king the interpretation."

2:26 The king answered and said to Daniel, whose name was Belteshazzar (O BEL PROTECT HIS LIFE), "Art thou able to make known unto me the dream which I have seen, and the interpretation thereof ?"

2:27 Daniel answered in the presence of the king, and said, "The secret which the king hath demanded cannot the wise men, the astrologers, the magicians, the soothsayers, shew unto the king;

2:28 But there is a God in heaven That revealeth secrets, and maketh known to the king Nebuchadnezzar what shall be in the latter days. Thy dream, and the visions of thy head upon thy bed, are these;

DANIEL WAS ALSO WITNESSING TO NEBUCHADNEZZAR. ONLY THE TRUE GOD OF HEAVEN CAN INTERPRET DREAMS.

THIS DREAM HAD TO DO WITH THE LATTER DAYS.

2:29 As for thee, O king, thy thoughts came into thy mind upon thy bed, what should come to pass hereafter: and He That revealeth secrets maketh known to thee what shall come to pass.

HE LETS HIM KNOW THAT IT WAS GOD WHO WAS SPEAKING, NOT HIM.

2:30 But as for me, this secret is not revealed to me for any wisdom that I have more than any living, but for their sakes that shall make known the interpretation to the king, and that thou mightest know the thoughts of thy heart.

2:31 Thou, O king, sawest, and behold a great image, whose brightness was excellent, stood before thee; and the form thereof was terrible.

THE ONE WORLD SYSTEM SET UP IN 4 PARTS.

2:32 This image's head was of fine gold, his breast and his arms of silver, his belly and his thighs of brass.

1. THE HEAD= BABYLON.

THE 1ST KING IS NEBUCHADNEZZAR ; THE 2ND IS SATAN.

THESE ARE THE 4 STAGES OF SATAN'S RULE; IT BEGINS WITH THE HEAD FOR NEBUCHADNEZZAR WAS THE HEAD OF GOLD. THE KING OF BABYLON NEBUCHADNEZZAR IS ONLY A TYPE. THE 2ND KING OF BAYLON IS SATAN, THE PRINCE OF DARKNESS.

THE MOST PRECIOUS METAL (GOLD), AND THE HIGHEST SPECIFIC GRAVITY WAS AT THE TOP, DECREASING WITH ITS DESCENT.

2. CHEST= MEDO-PERSIA.

3. BELLY= GREECE

2:33 His legs of iron, his feet part of iron and part of clay.

4. IRON LEGS= ROME.

5. FEET MIXED WITH IRON AND CLAY=ARABS. THEY CONTROL THE DOME TODAY.

2:34 Thou sawest till that a stone (CHRIST) was cut out without hands (AN EXPRESSION ALWAYS EMPHASISING THE ABSENCE OF ALL HUMAN INSTRUMENTALITY AND THE ACT OF GOD ALONE), which smote the image upon his feet that were of iron and clay, and brake them to pieces.

THE FIFTH KINGDOM BROKE INTO PIECES.

2:35 Then was the iron, the clay, the brass, the silver, and the gold, broken to pieces together (AS UNITED AT THE TIME OF THE END (FORMING THE 6TH POWER), THE KINGDOM OF THE BEAST), and became like the chaff of the summer threshing floors; and the wind (HOLY SPIRIT) carried them away, that no place was found for them: and the stone that smote the image became a great mountain (NATION), and filled the whole earth.

6. THE GOVERNMENTAL SYSTEM OF THE BEAST.

7. SATAN.

THE 6TH IS GOING TO TAKE OVER; THE 7TH WILL COME TO FIX THINGS.

8. HIS DEATH.

2:36 This is the dream; and we will tell the interpretation thereof before the king.

2:37 Thou, O king, art a king of kings: for the God of heaven hath given thee a kingdom, power, and strength, and glory.

GOD HAS GIVEN HIM ALL THESE BLESSINGS. LATER ON, NEBUCHADNEZZAR WILL CONVERT AND HE WILL SERVE THE TRUE GOD.

THE O.T. IS NOT ONLY PROPHECY OF THE END TIMES, BUT ALSO HISTORY OF YAHAVEH'S PEOPLE, ISRAEL; AND OTHER NATIONS ARE REFERRED TO ONLY AS, AND SO FAR AS, THEY COME INTO CONNECTION WITH ISRAEL. BABYLON WAS THE MOST ANCIENT OF KINGDOMS (GEN. 10:10). NEBUCHADNEZZAR WAS NOT THE FIRST KING (DEUT. 32:8); BUT HE WAS THE "HEAD" OR BEGINNING OF GENTILE DOMINION IN THE EARTH WHEN ISRAEL HAD BEEN "REMOVED" (ACCORDING TO JER. 15:4, 24:9, 29:18). THESE SUCCESSIVE KINGDOMS AS RECKONED ONLY AS THEY OBTAINED POSSESSION OF JERUSALEM. THEY EXISTED BEFORE THAT; AND EACH, IN TURN, WAS ABSORBED IN THE ONE THAT SUCCEEDED.

2:38 And wheresoever the children of men dwell, the beasts of the field and the fowls of the heaven hath He given into thine hand, and hath made thee ruler over them all. Thou art this head of gold.

YOU HAVE POWER OVER THEM.

THE HEAD IS THE FIRST OF THE FIVE KINGDOMS.

2:39 And after thee shall arise another kingdom inferior to thee, and another third kingdom of brass, which shall bear rule over all the earth.

THE KINGDOM OF MEDO-PERSIA, WHICH SUCCEEDED BABYLON BY OCCUPYING JERUSALEM (II CHR. 36:22).

INFERIOR= AS SILVER IS INFERIOR TO GOLD, IN VALUE AND IN SPECIFIC GRAVITY, SO THE 2ND KINGDOM WAS INFERIOR TO THE 1ST. THE MEDO-PERSIA WAS A GOVERNMENT BY LAW WHICH WAS SUPERIOR TO THE KING.

THE THIRD KINGDOM WAS INFERIOR, AS BEING LESS DESPOTIC.

2:40 And the fourth kingdom shall be strong (HARD AS IRON IN THE HEBREW. THE POWER OF ROME) as iron: forasmuch as iron breaketh in pieces and subdueth all things: and as iron that breaketh all these, shall it break in pieces and bruise.

THE 4TH KINGDOM IS ROME. OBSERVE THAT IT DOES NOT SAY THERE WERE "FOUR, AND NO MORE", AS ALLEGED; BUT THE FOURTH. THE POWER WHICH WAS TO SUCCEED ROME IS THE MOHAMMEDAN POWER WHICH CONTROL THE DOME TODAY.

2:41 And whereas thou sawest the feet and toes, part of potters' clay, and part of iron, the kingdom shall be divided; but there shall be in it of the strength of the iron, forasmuch as thou sawest the iron mixed with miry (MUDDY) clay.

IRON AND CLAY CANNOT MIX.

THIS IS THE POLITICAL SYSTEM OF REV. 13.

2:42 And as the toes of the feet were part of iron, and part of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong, and partly broken.

THIS SYSTEM WILL BE VERY FRAGILE.

2:43 And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay.

GOD'S CHILDREN WILL NOT MIX.

THE ONE WORLD SYSTEM BEEN WOVEN TOGETHER; THE WEAVERS STAY BUSY AT THE TASK. WARSAW PACK AND NATO IS BEEN WOVEN TO ONE FORCE. SATAN AND CHRIST (THE FOLLOWERS OF THOSE TWO) CAN NEVER BE WOVEN TOGETHER IN ONE BLANKET. THIS IS WHY THE IRON AND THE CLAY CANNOT MIX.

GEN. 25 STATES THAT TWO NATIONS ARE IN HER WOMB : UNITED STATES---RUSSIA.

2:44 And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand forever.

THESE KINGS REPRESENTED BY THE 10 TOES (10 LEADERS OF THE ONE WORLD SYSTEM).

THIS IS THE END OF THEIR TIME; THAT IS THE MOMENT OF THE GREAT STONE (CHRIST) WHICH WAS REJECTED BY THE WORLD BUILDERS.

2:45 Forasmuch as thou sawest that the stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that it brake in pieces the iron, the brass, the clay, the silver, and the gold; the great God hath made known to the king what shall come to pass hereafter: and the dream is certain, and the interpretation thereof sure:

GOD IS BRINGING IN TO PASS.

2:46 Then the king Nebuchadnezzar fell upon his face, and worshipped Daniel, and commanded that they should offer an oblation (A GIFT OFFERING)and sweet odors to him.

2:47 The king answered to Daniel, and said, "Of a truth it is, that your God is a God of gods, and a Lord of kings, and a Revealer of secrets (DREAMS), seeing thou couldest reveal this secret."

2:48 Then the king made Daniel a great man, and gave him many great gifts, and made him ruler over the whole province of Babylon, , and chief of the governors over all the wise men of Babylon.

2:49 Then Daniel requested of the king, and he set Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, over the affairs of the province of Babylon: but Daniel sat in the gate of the king.

THE GATE WAS THE JUDGMENT PLACE OF NEBUCHADNEZZAR. HE ALSO TRAVELLED. HE WAS NOT WITH THE OTHER THREE.

THE BOOK OF DANIEL (CHAPTER TWO---PART ONE)

MOST PROPHETS PROPHESIED WHEN THEY WERE OUT OF CAPTIVITY, BUT DANIEL'S ENTIRE PROPHECY WAS GIVEN WHILE IN CAPTIVITY BY THE KING OF BABYLON.

THE FIRST PART OF THE BOOK IS HISTORIC, WHILE THE LATTER HALF IS PROPHETIC, AND IT'S AN OVERLAY OF THE BOOK OF REVELATION.

THE NEW KING OF BABYLON IS SATAN AND HE IS COMING SOON TO DECEIVE THE WHOLE WORLD.

THE FIRST PART OF THE BOOK IS WRITTEN IN ARAMAIC, OR CHALDEE, WHILE THE LATTER PORTION IS WRITTEN IN HEBREW. THIS IS TO TEACH US THAT THE HISTORIC PORTION IS IN THE GENTILE LANGUAGE, BECAUSE IT IS CONCERNED WITH "THE TIMES OF THE GENTILES", AND WITH THE GENTILE SUPREMACY IN RELATION TO ISRAEL; WHILE THE PROPHETIC PORTION IS IN HEBREW (THE LANGUAGE OF ISRAEL), BECAUSE IT IS CONCERNED WITH "THE TIME OF THE END", AND WITH THE EVENTS WHICH WILL LEAD UP TO THE TIME WHEN GOD WILL "RESTORE AGAIN THE KINGDOM OF ISRAEL".

Daniel 2:1 And in the second year ( 495 B.C.) of the reign of Nebuchadnezzar Nebuchadnezzar dreamed dreams, wherewith his spirit was troubled and his sleep brake from him.

HE DREAMED DREAMS.

2:2 Then the king commanded to call the magicians (CONNECTED WITH THE ROD OF OFFICE OF THOSE WHO REPELLED DEMONS AND EVIL SPIRITS BY INCANTATIONS), and the astrologers (PROPHETS WHO ASSUMED TO ANNOUNCE THE WILL OF HEAVEN AND PREDICT THE FUTURE. THESE WERE A CLASS APART FROM THE OTHERS.), and the sorcerers (WIZARDS), and the Chaldeans (WISE MEN), for to shew the king his dreams. So they came and stood before the king.

THIS IS ALL THE RELIGIOUS COMMUNITY.

NEBUCHADNEZZAR IS A TYPE OF THE KING OF BABYLON IN REVELATION.

2:3 And the king said unto them, "I have dreamed a dream, and my spirit was troubled to know the dream."

2:4 Then spake the Chaldeans to the king in Syriac (ARAMAIC), "O king, live forever: tell thy servants the dream, and we will show the interpretation."

ARAMAIC WILL BE USED UNTIL THE END OF CHAPTER SEVEN.

THROUGHOUT THE CAPTIVITY, THEY WILL BE SPEAKING THE LANGUAGE OF THE ONES WHO HOLD THEM CAPTIVE. MANY SPOKE ARAMAIC OR CHALDEE EVEN AFTER THE CAPTIVITY. IT BECAME A PART OF THEIR LANGUAGE OF THOSE THAT RETURNED TO JERUSALEM.

2:5 The king answered and said to the Chaldeans, "The thing is gone from me (I CAN'T REMEMBER IT): if ye will not make known unto me the dream, with the interpretation thereof, ye shall be cut in pieces, and your houses shall be made a dunghill.

A FURTHER MODE OF PUNISHMENT, FROM THE MEDO-PERSIANS IN 6:7.

2:6 But if ye shew the dream, and the interpretation thereof, ye shall receive of me gifts and rewards and great honor: therefore shew me the dream, and the interpretation thereof."

2:7 They answered again and said, "Let the king tell his servants the dream, and we will shew the interpretation of it."

2:8 The king answered and said, "I know of certainty that ye would gain the time, because ye see the thing is gone from me.

YOU WOULD LIKE TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF ME, OR GAIN TIME, REFERRING TO THAT DAY BEING AN UNLUCKY DAY.

2:9 But if ye will not make known unto me the dream, there is but one decree for you: for ye have prepared lying and corrupt words to speak before me, till the time be changed: therefore tell me the dream, and I shall know that ye can shew me the interpretation thereof."

2:10 The Chaldeans answered before the king, and said, "There is not a man upon the earth that can shew the king's matter: therefore there is no king, lord, nor ruler, that asked such things at any magician, or astrologer, or Chaldean.

NO MAN CAN TELL SOMEONE WHAT THEIR DREAMS ARE...ONLY GOD CAN.

2:11 And it is a rare thing that the king requireth, and there is none other that can shew it before the king, except the gods, whose dwelling is not with flesh."

THEY HELD THAT THERE WERE gods WHO DWELT IN MEN. BUT THESE WERE BEYOND MORTAL MEN ALTOGETHER.

2:12 For this cause the king was angry and very furious, and commanded to destroy all the wise men of Babylon.

THE MEMBERS OF ALL THE CLASSES COLLECTIVELY, MENTIONED IN VERSE 2.

2:13 And the decree went forth that the wise men should be slain; and they sought Daniel and his fellows to be slain.

2:14 Then Daniel answered with counsel and wisdom to Arioch the captain of the king's guard (EXECUTIONERS), which was gone forth to slay the wise men of Babylon:

2:15 He answered and said to Arioch the king's captain, "Why is the decree so hasty from the king?" Then Arioch made the thing known to Daniel.

2:16 Then Daniel went in, and desired of the king that he would give him time, and that he would shew the king the interpretation.

DANIEL TRUSTED GOD.

2:17 Then Daniel went to his house, and made the thing known to Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah, his companions:

2:18 That they would desire mercies of the God of heaven concerning this secret; that Daniel and his fellows should not perish with the rest of the wise men of Babylon.

2:19 Then was the secret (DREAM) revealed unto Daniel in a night vision. Then Daniel blessed the God of heaven.

GOD HAS GIVEN DANIEL A SPECIAL GIFT OF DISCERNING DREAMS AND VISIONS.

2:20 Daniel answered and said, "Blessed be the name of God forever and ever: for wisdom and might are His (THE MIGHT TO CHANGE PEOPLE'S MINDS, AND THE MIGHT TO ACCOMPLISH THINGS):

2:21 And He changeth the times and the seasons: He removeth kings, and setteth up kings: He giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding:

2:22 He revealeth the deep and secret things: He knoweth what is in the darkness, and the light dwelleth with Him.

HE KNOWS WHAT IS IN OUR MINDS.

THE BOOK OF DANIEL (CHAPTER ONE)

DANIEL=GOD IS MY JUDGE, OR GOD WILL JUDGE IN THE HEBREW. HE WAS FROM THE ROYAL SEED OF JUDAH. HIS ENTIRE PROPHECY WAS GIVEN IN THE CAPTIVITY OF THE KING OF BABYLON, WHICH IS A TYPE THAT SETS FORTH OF WHAT SHALL HAPPEN UNDER THE REIGN OF THE KING BABYLON (SATAN) IN THE END GENERATION.

THE FIRST PART OF THE BOOK IS HISTORIC, WHILE THE LATTER HALF IS PROPHETIC.

MOREOVER, OF THE FORMER PORTION, 2:4-7:28 IS WRITTEN IN ARAMAIC (OR CHALDEE), WHILE THE LATTER PORTION, 8:1-12:13, IS WRITTEN IN HEBREW.

Daniel 1:1 IN the third year of the reign of Jehoiakim (MEANS SET UP) king of Judah came Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon unto Jerusalem, and besieged it.

IT WAS THE THIRD YEAR OF JEHOIAKIM THAT NEBUCHADNEZZAR SET OUT FROM BABYLON; AND DANIEL, WRITING THERE, SPEAKS OF THE STARTING, NOT OF THE ARRIVAL AT JERUSALEM. HE BEGAN HIS MARCH FROM HIS HOME TO JERUSALEM.

NEBUCHADNEZZAR DID SET OUT IN JEHOIAKIM'S THIRD YEAR, BUT WAS DELAYED BY FIGHTING THE BATTLE WITH PHARAOH-NECHO AT CARCHEMISH. IN THE NEXT (FOURTH) YEAR (JER. 46:2), HE CARRIED OUT THE OBJECT WITH WHICH HE SET OUT.

THERE WERE THREE SIEGES AGAINST JERUSALEM AND IT COVERED A PERIOD OF TIME.

1:2 And the LORD gave Jehoiakim king of Judah into his hand, with part of the vessels of the house of God: which he carried into the land of Shinar (BABYLON= IS LOCATED ALONG THE TIGRIS AND EUPHRATES RIVER) to the house of his god; and he brought the vessels into the treasure house of his god.

1:3 And the king spake unto Ashpenaz (HORSE FACE) the master of his eunuchs, that he should bring certain of the children of Israel, and of the king's seed, and of the princes (NOBLES);

1:4 Children (YOUTHS) in whom was no blemish, but well favored, and skillful in all wisdom, and cunning in knowledge (COMMON SENSE), and understanding science, and such had ability in them to stand in the king's palace, and whom they might teach the learning and the tongue of the Chaldeans.

NEBUCHADNEZZAR BELIEVED VERY MUCH IN HIGHER LEARNING.

THERE WERE FIVE DIALECTS IN CHALDEE AND IT WAS NOT AN EASY LANGUAGE TO LEARN. HE WANTED TO TEACH THEM CHALDEE SO THEY CAN SERVE HIM.

1:5 And the king appointed them a daily provision of the king's meat, and of the wine which he drank: so nourishing them three years, that at the end thereof they might stand before the king.

HE TOOK CARE OF THEM.

THE MEAT WAS MOSTLY POLLUTED BECAUSE HE DID NOT GO BY GOD'S HEALTH LAWS.

1:6 Now among these were of the children of Judah, Daniel, Hananiah (YAH'S GRACIOUS), Mishael (WHO IS EL), and Azariah (HELPED OF YAH):

1:7 Unto whom the prince of the eunuchs gave names: for he gave unto Daniel the name of Belteshazzar (PROTECT HIS LIFE); and to Hananiah, of Shadrach (AKU THE MOON god); and to Mishael, of Meshach (WHO IS LIKE AKU?); and to Azariah, of Abed-nego (SERVANT OF WORSHIPPER OF NEGO).

GOD INTERVENED SO THE PRINCE OF THE EUNUCHS WOULD LIKE DANIEL.

1:8 But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king's meat, nor with the wine which he drank: therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself.

THIS WAS BECAUSE MEAT WAS KILLED WITH THE BLOOD, CONTRARY TO LEV. 3:17, 7:26, 17:10-14, 19:26, AND OFFERED TO IDOLS.

DANIEL DID NOT WANT TO GET SICK.

1:9 Now God had brought Daniel into favor and tender love (COMPASSION) with the prince of the eunuchs.

1:10 And the prince of the eunuchs said unto Daniel, "I fear my lord the king, who hath appointed your meat and your drink: for why should he see your faces worse liking than the children which are of your sort? then shall ye make me endanger my head to the king."

IF YOU DON'T EAT YOU WILL LOOK SICKLY. YOUR FRIENDS WILL LOOK HEALTHIER THAN YOU AND THE KING IS GOING TO TAKE MY HEAD, BECAUSE I ALLOWED IT.

1:11 Then said Daniel to Melzar (BUTLER WHO HAD CHARGE OF THE WINE), whom the prince of the eunuchs had set over Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah.

1:12 "Prove they servants, I beseech thee (DO THIS FOR ME), ten days; and let them give us pulse to eat (VEGETABLE FOOD, TO AVOID THE IDOL-TAINTED FOOD ), and water to drink.

1:13 Then let our countenances be looked upon before thee, and the countenance of the children that eat of the portion of the king's meat: and as thou seest, deal with thy servants."

1:14 So he consented to them in this matter, and proved them ten days.

1:15 And at the end of the ten days their countenances appeared fairer and fatter in flesh than all the children which did eat the portion of the king's meat.

THEY WERE HEALTHIER BECAUSE THEY FOLLOWED GOD'S LAWS.

1:16 Thus Melzar took away the portion of their meat, and the wine (EVEN THE WINE WAS POLLUTED) that they should drink; and gave them pulse.

1:17 As for these four children, God gave them knowledge and skill in all learning (LEARNING IS A PROCESS) and wisdom: and Daniel had understanding in all visions and dreams.

1:18 Now at the end of the days (3 YEARS= THE TEST ENDED IN 3 YEARS) that the king had said he should bring them in, then the prince of the eunuchs brought them in before Nebuchadnezzar.

1:19 And the king communed with them; and among them all was found none like Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah: therefore stood they before the king.

HE WAS HAPPY WITH THEM.

1:20 And in all matters of wisdom and understanding, that the king enquired of them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and astrologers that were in all his realm.

GOD INTERFERED SO THEY WERE LIKED BY THE KING.

1:21 And Daniel continued even unto the first year of king Cyrus (GOD NAMED HIM BEFORE HIS BIRTH).

DANIEL WOULD BE IN THAT PARTICULAR MINISTRY FOR ABOUT 69 YEARS. HE WAS A YOUNG MAN WHEN HE BEGAN, AND HE WOULD BE IN THIS LAND OF CAPTIVITY FOR 69 YEARS.

THE BOOK OF ECCLESIASTES (CHAPTER 12)

ECCLESIASTES IS WRITTEN TO THE FLESH MAN. IT TELLS US HOW TO LIVE A HAPPY LIFE WHILE PASSING THROUGH THIS FLESH AGE.

ENJOY THE DAYS OF YOUR YOUTH BECAUSE THIS LIFE IS SHORT AND YOUR YOUTH WILL BE OVER BEFORE YOU KNOW IT.

Ecclesiastes 12:1 Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, 'I have no pleasure in them;'

ENJOY YOUR YOUTH AND ACCOMPLISH SOMETHING. WHEN YOU GROW OLD IS HARDER TO ENJOY YOURSELF.

12:2 While the sun, or the light, or the moon, or the stars, be not darkened, nor the clouds return after the rain:

12:3 In the day when the keepers of the house (THE ARMS OF THE BODY. THE HUMAN BODY IS OFTEN COMPARED TO A HOUSE, ISAIAH 38:12, JOB 4:19, II COR. 5:1-2, II PETER 1:13) shall tremble, (MOVE) and the strong men ( THE LEGS) shall bow themselves, and the grinders (THE TEETH) cease because they are few, and those that look out of the windows be darkened (VISION IS LESS),

12:4 And the doors (MOUTH AND EARS) shall be shut in the streets, when the sound of the grinding is low (THE MASTICATION WITH GUMS INSTEAD OF TEETH IS LOW), and he shall rise up at the voice of the bird (INSOMNIA), and all the daughters of music shall be brought low;

12:5 Also when they shall be afraid of that which is high (AFRAID OF HEIGHTS), and fears shall be in the way (APPREHENSIONS OF DANGER IN TRAVELLING), and the almond tree shall flourish (GREY HAIR), and the grasshopper shall be a burden (LIFTING WILL BECOME HARD), and desire shall fail (SEXUAL DESIRE): (because man goeth to his long home (HEAVEN), and the mourners go about the streets:)

12:6 Or ever the silver cord be loosed (THE SPINAL CORD), or the golden bowl be broken (THE HEAD OR SKULL), or the pitcher be broken at the fountain (FAILURE OF THE HEART), or the wheel broken at the cistern (ON WHICH THE BUCKET IS BROUGHT UP BY A ROPE FROM THE WELL).

12:7 Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God Who gave it.

THIS IS HOW WE DIE: THE FLESH GOES BACK TO THE GROUND, BUT THE SPIRIT RETURNS TO GOD. WE ARE CHANGED INTO OUR SPIRITUAL BODY (I COR. 15:35-52).

12:8 "Vanity of vanities," saith the preacher (SOLOMON); "all is vanity."

12:9 And moreover, because the preacher was wise, he still taught the People knowledge; yea, he gave good heed, and sought out, and set in order many proverbs.

GOD'S ELECT UNDERSTAND AND SIMPLIFY THE WORD.

12:10 The preacher sought to find out acceptable words: and that which was written was upright, even words of truth.

HE SOUGHT SUITABLE WORDS TO EXPLAIN.

12:11 The words of the wise are as goads (A NAIL AT THE END OF A STICK), and as nails fastened by the masters of assemblies, which are given from one shepherd.

THESE NAILS WERE BUILT INTO A WALL, BECAUSE EASTERN WALLS WERE TOO HARD OR TOO SOFT FOR THEM TO BE HAMMERED IN.

HE IS SAYING HERE THAT IF YOU DON'T CARE HE MIGHT USE THAT GOAD TO MAKE YOU LISTEN.

12:12 And further, by these, my son, be admonished: of making many books there is no end; and much study is a weariness of the flesh.

REST A MOMENT AND TAKE A BREAK WHEN YOU PREACH.

12:13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear (REVERENCE) God, and keep His commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.

THE TRUE AND ONLY GOD, WHO THROUGHOUT THIS BOOK IS PUT IN CONTRAST WITH MAN.

12:14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

ECCLESIASTES (CHAPTER 11)

ECCLESIASTES WAS WRITTEN TO THE FLESH MAN.

IT WILL HELP YOU LIVE LIFE TO THE FULLEST AND ENJOY EVERY MOMENT OF IT... THE WAY GOD INTENDED TO FROM THE BEGINNING OF TIME.

Ecclesiastes 11:1 Cast thy bread upon the waters (UPON THE SURFACE OF) : for thou shalt find it after many days (THE PROFIT OR RESULT OF IT).

THE BREAD IS SYMBOLIC OF THE BREAD OF LIFE = CHRIST.

WATERS IS SYMBOLIC OF PEOPLE, NATIONS (REV. 17:15).

SHARE WITH PLANTING SEEDS.YOU NEVER WASTE YOUR TIME BY PLANTING SEEDS. IT'S GOING TO COME BACKTO YOU SOONER OR LATER.

11:2 Give a portion to seven, and also to eight (AN IDIOMATIC PHRASE DENOTING SEVERAL OR MANY); for thou knowest not what evil shall be upon the earth.

SHARE WHAT YOU HAVE WITH PEOPLE.

11:3 If the clouds be full of rain, they empty themselves upon the earth: and if the tree fall toward the south, or toward the north, in the place where the tree falleth, there it shall be.

THAT'S NATURE AT WORK...REPEAT OF LIFE OVER AND OVER.

TREES ARE SYMBOLIC OF PEOPLE.

11:4 He that observeth the wind shall not sow; and he that regardeth the clouds shall not reap.

THE PLOUGHING MUST BE DONE WHEN THE EARLY RAINS HAVE COME, EVEN IN THE FACE OF STORM; OTHERWISE THERE WILL BE NO REAPING AFTER THE LATTER RAINS.

IN OTHER WORDS, DON'T BE A WORRIER AND WAIT UNTIL EVERYTHING IS EXACTLY RIGHT TO SOW. LEARN GOD'S LAW, LIKE THE LAW OF GRAVITY AND THE LAW OF JETSTREAM, TRUST GOD AND USE HIS WISDOM.

11:5 As thou knowest not what is the way of the spirit, nor how the bones do grow in the womb of her that is with child: even so thou knowest not the works of God Who maketh all.

YOU DON'T KNOW BUT GOD KNOWS.

IT'S AN AWESOME THING THE CHILD THAT GROWS IN YOUR WOMB.

11:6 In the morning sow thy seed, and in the evening withhold not thine hand: for thou knowest not whether shall prosper, either this or that, or whether they both shall be alike good.

IN OTHER WORDS, GO FOR IT AND PLOW DEEP.

TRUST HIM...HE EXPECTS THE BEST FROM YOU.

11:7 Truly the light is sweet, and a pleasant thing it is for the eyes to behold the sun:

THE SUN HELPS THE PHYSICAL BODY TO BE HEALTHY.

11:8 But if a man live many years, and rejoice in them all; yet let him remember the days of darkness; for they shall be many. All that cometh is vanity.

BE PREPARED FOR BOTH...THERE WILL BE UPS AND DOWNS IN THIS LIFE. GOD WILL HELP YOU THROUGH THE BAD TIMES AND HE WILL FIND YOU A WAY OUT

(I COR.10:13).

11:9 Rejoice, O young man, in thy youth; and let thy heart cheer thee in the days of thy youth, and walk in the ways of thine heart, and in the sight of thine eyes: but know thou, that for all these things God will bring thee into judgment.

ENJOY YOUR YOUTH BUT ALSO PLEASE GOD BECAUSE YOU WILL BE JUDGED.

11:10 Therefore remove sorrow from thy heart, and put away evil (SADNESS) from thy flesh: for childhood and youth are vanity.

DON'T GRIEVE...DON'T WASTE IT.
